Not only so that you might come a little closer to meeting his ridiculously high (and always rising) standards, but to grasp every little bit of control over you he can. He’ll always rebuke you for giving him so much extra work, but Reiji seems to genuinely enjoy making your choices for you.
-You’ll be getting countless lessons on what he deems proper behavior. Reiji won’t stand for a partner who makes him look bad, and no matter how long it takes (and how much you suffer) you will be whipped into shape. Sometimes literally, And you’d better be grateful for it; his time is precious, and yet he chooses to spend it improving you.
-And yet, Reiji manages to be strangely, remarkably affectionate. You may not always notice it (or realize that what he’s doing is his form of affection), but he takes every subtle, carefully concealed opportunity for closeness with you. Of course, he’d never be blatant about enjoying your love so much, but should he ever become mentally compromised enough to let his cautiousness slip, you’ll see first hand just how much he cares.
