-While he still has anger issues, they’re at a much smaller scale than his adult self’s. Instead of getting angry, he tends to get sad, receding into himself and trying to hide instead of lashing out. He gets frustrated easily, though, and those are the occasions where he’s likely to show rage.
-He’s downright afraid of social situations, even ones a small scale as meeting guests, and will hide behind you, clinging onto you for dear life. He can hardly talk around new people, and has had a horrible stutter since his youngest years. He all but shuts down when nervous, too, and will completely freeze up if a stranger tries to talk to him.
-Dark places, loud noises, and people screaming scare him horribly. The first one is only true if he’s alone, because then it seems all too much like the times his mother got angry enough to shut him up away from her, but the other two apply at any time. Either one of the latter occurring will end in a panicked, silently shaking Subaru trying fiercely not to curl in on himself and hide.
