What disease does Carla have in the Human AU, since he can’t have Endzeit (for obvious reasons)? And if he and Shin are only distant relatives to the Sakamakis, why does Karlheinz have the power to just give them away to vampires? Is he their legal guardian or something? Or did he just kidnap them?

Admin Mawile: (⌒▽⌒)ゞ Thank you for the questions!

-Carla is chronically ill with an unidentified illness that gives him a wide variety of awful symptoms (Pretty much the same as what I headcanon the Endzeit doing to him). He’s not fatally ill, though, and is instead just pretty miserable. He has to live with Shin because he tends to be too exhausted to properly take care of himself.

-The Tsukinami boys are from formerly wealthy family that (secretly thanks to Karlheinz’s influence) experienced massive stock troubles and lost every bit of wealth they had. Their father fled the country to avoid his financial troubles, and their mother died soon after of stress and grief induced illness. Carla and Shin live together because Carla’s illness makes it hard for him to live on his own, and both of them dream of restoring their family to its former glory.  Karlheinz and his family are the only relatives they have.

-And has for how Karl handed them over to the vampires, he claimed to be giving them over, but most likely either offered them a chance at rebuilding their family or threatened/tricked them into it. For all the vampires know, Karlheinz was just throwing in a little more in evening out his debts, but he actually had to resort to some pretty tricky business to make it work.
