Hi :) I was just wondering if you have played all of the games through and or just some of them and if so which games have you played? And which is your favorite? And what do you play the games on?

Admin Mawile: I have not played much of the games, actually! For one, my various mental issues mean that I get overwhelmed easy, especially when I get excited about something, which gets in the way quite a bit. Also, I’m not that good at reading Japanese, so, while I own a couple of the games, I have to put work into translating them. 

Mostly, I’ve read translations (again, not too much at once cause I get overwhelmed…), and paid attention to characterization and meta within the fandom. I’m good at picking things up this way, cause I have to do it a lot, but that’s how I’ve done things!

I own the first game and Lunatic Parade, though, and I play them on a PSP/PS Vita! 😀 My favorite game is any one with Carla in it~

I’m interested in Laito’s route. Getting him to admit, at least superficially/sexually, that he likes being dominated would be fairly easy, but getting him to be emotionally vulnerable? Very, VERY difficult. I’m looking forward to seeing you write it~!

Admin Mawile: Oh, and I fully intend for him to be emotionally vulnerable~

The way I picture his route going is that, when reader isn’t phased by his attempts at intimidation, he takes it as a fun little challenge and accepts her dominating him in whatever way he can pressure her into. 

Time passes, he starts to catch Feelings because reader is the first person to treat him like more than an empty-headed pervert and have genuinely good intentions, and Laito slowly starts to freak out because he’s falling in love with someone for the first time in his life and he doesn’t know what to do. 

Reader, meanwhile, takes all of this in stride, and continues to do her best to haphazardly glue all the Laito-pieces back together. 

At this point, she just wants to help (and DAMN does she feel bad for him), but Laito makes everything difficult, and if he doesn’t knock it off, so help her she is going to bring feelings into this. Laito does not stop acting like, well Laito, and he’s forced to face feelings in the end, which goes surprisingly well considering that reader has not yet realized the depth of fucked-up that Laito truly is. 

Things get sorted out somehow, though, and it all works out in the end. 

This is just a rough idea, though, and I imagine that things will change as I write! Who knows how it’s going to wind up

I would want to see Laito’s route because I think he’s one of the more complex DL characters. His trauma is much more deeply rooted in comparison to others, in my opinion. So I think it’d be really interesting to see him in a submissive and powerless position, something we never see in the games, anime or CDs. Thanks!

Admin Mawile: Thank you, anon! Despite Laito still being tied with another boy in the survey, this ask means I’ll be working on his route first! 😀 You make a very good point, and I hope my writing lives up to your expectations~ 

I don’t know if I’m going to do all of one route before starting another, though, and I do still need to be thinking about everyone else’s stories, so anyone who wants to talk to me about who they’d like to see is more than welcome to~

AO3 anon here: please take your time and don’t rush yourself! I’d hate for you to feel like writing for something is tedious or obligatory, and besides, I have a feeling this new fic will more than make up for it! Take care of yourself and stay hydrated 💜

Admin Mawile: (〃⌒∇⌒) Problem is, I tend to start fics, lose inspiration for a while (thanks, hyperfocus), and then get back to them after like 8 months… I’m SO sorry that my updating schedule is so bad, and I’m eternally grateful that ya’ll put up with my brain being weird. 

Your writing is 100% worth paying for, and your not annoying anyone with this fic.

Admin Mawile: Thanks, anon! (*･▽･*) I did commissions for a while, and while there was a tiny bit of interest, it died down quick. I still technically take em, but no one has shown any interest in close to a year… 

Ah well, I’m gonna write this stuff anyway, so there’s no point in charging for it. Commissions are just a hesitant, “support the author if you’re feeling generous” thing at this point~

Any idea which route you’re going to write first? I can wait patiently for my best boys Azusa, Kou, Ruki and Carla <3

Admin Mawile: It was going to be Laito’s until about a second ago. The order I write things in was going to be based on the survey, honestly. I wanted to see what characters people wanted to see first… but the survey has been a 2-4 way tie for almost the whole time it’s been active. 

Two things that could change it, though. One, send me a message/ask with which character you want to see and why. I want to write what people will enjoy, so this would be a nice way of writing for someone’s super fav!

Second, and this is hesitant, I suppose I could do a sort-of commission for it???? I have absolutely no idea if my weird writing is even worth paying for, but if you really wanted to see someone’s route, that’s a guaranteed way of getting it! I don’t know. This one is really just a hesitant suggestion (=￣∇￣)
