Random Xeno Ayato headcannons? One being about cuddling please c:

Admin Mawile: └(゚∀゚└))

-Cordelia used to torment him by getting him entirely immersed in the blissed out, needy, bonding part of vampire instincts, and then dropping him to suffer. Without someone to hold onto, it was a hard crash back to reality, filled with a cold, panicked sense of being abandoned by someone that his mind was insisting needed to stay. Thanks to that experience, Ayato is extremely paranoid of letting those vulnerable parts show, even around someone he otherwise trusts.

-He gets needy and clingy when he’s truly relaxed, only happy once he’s cuddled up in your lap to get all the affection you’ll give. If his wings are out, he’ll practically force you to pet them, crooning and pressing his face into your stomach until you pay them the proper attention. He gets very deep into the attached, needy parts of the bonding instincts, and once he knows that you won’t push him away for it, he soaks up all the attention no one else has given.

Child!Au, How would the boys feel if they found out their mother was physically draining themselves doing things for them just so they could be happy and comfortable?

Admin Mawile: └(・。・)┘ Reader noooo

Shuu:

-He doesn’t really understand how someone could willingly wear themselves out so badly, but he does know that too much working is just miserable. You need to come play with him and relax, like you always tell him to do!

Reiji:

-It should be a good thing that you’re showing such diligence, but all he can see is his own efforts to please his mother. For once, he’ll actually insist you take more breaks and time for yourself.

Ayato:

-Just the mention of overwork makes him feel sick. It’s too much like what the old hag demanded of him, and he nearly panics trying to get you to stop. You’re important! You can’t be sad!

Kanato:

-It’s very difficult for him to understand the suffering of someone else, but knowing that you’re unhappy is worry enough. If you’re upset because of him, what if you decide you don’t want him anymore?

Laito:

-Your distress shouldn’t matter a bit to him, but it’s strangely upsetting to see you so exhausted. He’ll come up with some story to get you to stop doing so much, and try not to think about how much he cares.

Subaru:

-After panicking over the idea that you’re going to get sick of him, it takes all his courage to try to convince you to take things easy. He’d… he’d be sad if you made yourself sick over him.

Ruki:

-The idea that you’re wasting away at yourself to make him happy has him physically ill with memories. If his violent reaction isn’t enough to stop you, this is one of the few times he might beg.

Kou:

-It doesn’t make sense that you’d be making yourself sick for his sake, and while at first, he sees little wrong with you taking care of him, it quickly turns to near panic over how pained you seem to be.

Yuuma:

-If the problem is too much work, than he’s going to help! He’s strong for a kid, and is more than willing to help out and make things easier for you. He’ll just be happy to see you healthy again.

Azusa:

-Registering that affection from you could be a bad thing takes a lot of thinking. Once he realizes that you’re really hurting yourself, he gets near frantic trying to talk you into taking better care of yourself.

Carla:

-He’s more than used to working himself past the point of good health, but seeing you of all people do it is just unpleasant. You’re too good to be wasting your time on luxuries for him.

Shin:

-His ego wants to say that someone working themselves sick to please him is exactly how it should be, but seeing you actually miserable from it just makes him feel sick. You have to stop now.

This for the pet au what if the boys had a kind owner that had a nightmare so she asked to sleep with them. I also really love your blog!

Admin Mawile: ┐(゚~゚) That might not end well…

Shuu:

-He knows he’d never be allowed to push you away, but the panic of having an owner so close is making him almost shake. All he do is hope that you get what you want from him and leave.

Reiji:

-He would never dare disobey an owner, but it’s terrifying to have you so close. The thoughts of the pets used for things are all but clawing at his mind, filling him with the panic that you might be one of them.

Ayato:

-The only thing more terrifying than the proximity with someone who could have him killed is the knowledge that he can’t escape. He’d scramble away if he could, but then you’d have a reason to hurt him.

Kanato:

-While he’s obviously afraid to have a human pressed next to him, you’re so warm it might almost be worth it to be beaten for this later. Maybe… maybe you’ll stay a little bit longer.

Laito:

-If he wasn’t sure you’d turn cruel for it, he’d shove you away and run. He’s certain you’re going to try something, that your kindness will come to and end here if he resists you.

Subaru:

-The closeness and contact gets to him fast, and he’s soon equally torn between pulling away and curling closer to the warmth. It can’t be safe for you to be next to him and so vulnerable.

Ruki:

-He has to obey anything you ask of him, but this is testing the limits of his ability to stay calm. It takes everything he has not to push you away and keep a human, an owner, out of his space.

Kou:

-If you touch him, he’s going to panic, scramble away, and hide somewhere small and dark, sobbing until he’s sure you won’t come back. All he can think about is getting away from you.

Yuuma:

-An owner asking to curl up with him is the last thing he’d expect, and the knowledge of what some owners do with their pets won’t leave his mind. You’re nicer than that… right?

Azusa:

-If he curls up next to you, he gets to stay in your human warmth and maybe get punished later when you turn it against him. He fully expects you to get angry and take it out on him at some point.

Carla:

-An owner’s orders are absolute, and no matter his level of discomfort or fear, you have to be obeyed. He lays perfectly still and does everything possible to pretend to be perfectly willing.

Shin:

-All at once, the memories of his first owner come flooding back. He wants to panic or bite or pull away, but if he makes you angry, the final result is just going to worse for him for disobeying you.

So for pet au, would you say the best way to take care of the pets if you want them to be as stable and healthy as possible is to treat them as pets? It seems they tend to freak out if you treat them well but treat them more as a roommate than a pet, since that’s all they’ve been taught they are. I think it varies (Shu probably is the one who would prefer to be more allowed to do anything he wants), but for mental well being would treating them as actual pets be the best course of action?

Admin Mawile: (‘~`;)

-Yeah, it might be better to stick to treating them like pets. If you’re going to introduce more human-like behavior, you have to do it very slowly. Being a pet is their entire world view, and changing any of that too quickly is just cruel. It’s removing the one thing they’ve been able to rely on for security and self worth, and turning into something totally different all at once. If you want to be as kind as you can, start by being a gentle owner, and move on to treating them like people only once they’re secure in their place with you.

Can you do a Pet Au of how they would all think/ react to kids trying to play with them and pet them and give them attention like regular pets such as dogs?

Admin Mawile: (^・ω・^ ) Awww~

Shuu:

-He doesn’t really mind kids getting close, even if humans make him a bit nervous. The pets are kind of nice, and maybe, if he gets really lucky, someone’s parents will cave and buy him.

Reiji:

-It would be preferable not to have his hair messed and sticky hands put all over him, but for the sake of being a proper, docile pet, he takes the attention and pretends to enjoy it.

Ayato:

-The small humans are the fun ones! They don’t mind petting him, can’t hit very hard, and sometimes their parents give in and look at the pets that are up for adoption. None of them have ever wanted him, though…

Kanato:

-Small humans are sticky and loud and he wouldn’t like them at all, if it wasn’t for the fact that they offer attention. He’ll stay still for petting, so long as there’s a chance he might appeal to a potential owner for it.

Laito:

-Humans being near him, even the small ones, make him very, very nervous. He knows that they’re all going to grow up to be no different than the ones who have done nothing but terrorize him.

Subaru:

-If adult humans aren’t safe near him, than the child ones are really in danger. The attention is wonderful, but he’s just terrified that he’s going to slip up and do something to hurt one of them.

Ruki:

-As nice as it is to have someone not hate him, humans are nothing but trouble for strays. Their parents would gladly turn in him and his brothers, and at the very least be angry that a stray came close to their children.

Kou:

-Even small humans send him into a panic. All he can see is the ones that hurt him; any kind of hand reaching toward him is nothing but a threat. He can’t stand to be near humans of any kind.

Yuuma:

-It’s kind of dangerous to let any human get close to them, but the temptation of attention and praise is hard to resist. Kids have small, warm hands, and they’re not afraid of him just because he’s big.

Azusa:

-He’d love the attention from someone, even a slight idea of what it would like to be someone’s pet, but any human coming too close turns him shivery and afraid. He loves pain, but is terrified of rejection.

Carla:

-There are always children at shows who want to touch him. He’s had enough sticky hands in his hair, or pulling at his clothes to be very accustomed to small humans getting in his space.

Shin:

-He’s pretty used to having kids messing with him, but can’t help but be annoyed by it. They remind him so much of his first owner, and he knows they have just the same capability for cruelty.
