i have some questions about the pet au? does reiji have his glasses or is he not allowed to wear them? were they trained to not sit on furniture and forced to sit on the floor? do they have to wear collars like a dog? does azusa still cut, if he does is it still with knives? how long do the pets live? does subaru still destroy things if he’s angry?

Admin Mawile: (๑>◡<๑) Yay! More great questions!!

-Reiji does not have glasses. He’s still with his breeder, who doesn’t care whether he can see or not, and isn’t willing to spend the money on glasses. Fortunately, his vision isn’t horrible, and he can still get around well enough without glasses.

-Yes, they are trained not to get one furniture. Generally, pets are taught that they are very separate from humans, and anything that would bridge that gap is off limits. Furniture is for people, not animals, and no one wants their filthy selves all over their possessions anyway. In most homes, pets could be beaten for trying to get on furniture without permission.

-Collars are common, but not all pets have them. Most breeders and sellers practice some form of identification, and collars are more popular among the more valuable pets, because they don’t do any damage to the body. For less valuable merchandise, branding and tattooing are common as well. Owners tend to use collars as an inexpensive way of marking what’s now theirs.

-When he was still with the shelter, Azusa did not cut. It was considered disobedient to do what an owner should be doing, and he was more likely to try to goad a staff member into beating him than disobey and make someone angry. Now that he and his brothers are on the streets and there are no humans to punish him, he frequently takes matters into his own hands and harms himself in place of an owner being able to. He gets nervous and twitchy if he hasn’t been hurt in a while, as punishment is what he associates with being needed and valuable. He may not use knives specifically, but he finds ways to hurt and bleed.

-Pets live nowhere near as long as canon vampires do. For one, their lifestyles are so brutal and unhealthy that many die young from nothing more than neglect and abuse. Furthermore, selective breeding has sought to reduce the massive lifespans supernatural creatures used to have, and  poor breeding has resulted in countless genetic flaws. By now, the longest a well taken care of pet of exceptional breeding could possibly live would be under 200 years.

-Subaru has the exact same violent tendencies, and they’re what’s gotten him in so much trouble. Because of his constant lashing out and quick temper, he’s been deemed unsafe to adopt. He’s considered a danger to humans, and is very close to being put down for being unsellable.

Of course, I myself can think about it, But I interested to read your posts. I wonder what have in mind boys about “break and I’ll break you.” .. Boys subordinate it to own, or achieve the desired behavior or is it death. How do they do it? And what do they do with them after? Please describe in detail. And I ask, then when will be the time to write scenario with Shu, Ruki, Reiji, on a similar theme

Admin Mawile: I can’t figure out what you’re asking, sorry. Your English is kind of off, and I’m having trouble understanding. Can you please resend and try to explain/fix the grammar a little? Or if anyone else understands what anon is asking?

Do the child au vampires still drink blood? How does their diet differ from their normal selves?

Admin Mawile: (*´꒳`*)

-Yes, they do. Since they’re still children, they don’t need as much, but blood is still a regular part of their diet. They will gladly feed from a human caretaker, and it can almost be a form of bonding, now that the vicious “you are my prey” aspect has been removed. Sometimes, though, their fangs are too small to puncture the skin of an adult human…

I LOVE your AUs. Can you give me a rough idea what age group the guys are in the child AU? Maybe something between late kindergarten age and early years of elementary school? Cause I can totally imagine some of them (like Kanato) still sucking their thumbs

Admin Mawile: (^・ω・^ )

-You’re about right!! I was estimating 6-9-ish physically (because actual vampire ages are hard to guess), so yeah, about elementary age. Oh, and instead of all of them being at the same physical age, it’s respective to the ages in canon. So Shuu is still physically older than Subaru, as an example. And yes, Kanato would totally still do that, especially now that Cordelia can’t yell at him for it.

has it occurred to anyone that these vampires are prolly super old and they’re all going for a 17 year old girl? hahaha if they weren’t so handsome and young-looking it’d totally be funny. i still love them all tho

Admin Mawile: ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ Yes it has, and it’s very weird. But I guess that’s just how vampire/human relationships have to work. Not to mention that a lot of these guys are only about as mature as a teenager.

what if the s and m brothers sister wanted to play a game like ,idk, ghost in the grave yard?

Admin Mawile: 」( ̄▽ ̄」) I’m…not entirely sure what game that is, but I think I get what you mean.

Shuu: Sure, how about hide and seek? You go hide somewhere and stay very quiet until he comes to find you.

Reiji: Unfortunately, he’s too busy to spare any time. But Shuu is free, you should go ask him to play instead.

Ayato: He’ll definitely agree to play, but throws an absolute fit if he even comes close to losing to you.

Kanato: Teddy doesn’t want to. Games are for children, and you can go bother someone else about it.

Laito: Of course he’ll play with you! He’s definitely going to use his powers to cheat and win, though.

Subaru: Nope, no way, he’s way too old for games. You’d better go bother someone else, because he’s not caving.

Ruki: He’s far too busy for games, and probably wouldn’t be the best person to play with anyway.

Kou: He’ll play, but he fully expects you to pay him back for the time he wastes. Idols are busy, you know!

Yuuma: If by a game, you mean helping in the garden, then sure. If not, you need to go ask someone else.

Azusa: He’ll gladly play with you, but he’s not very good at it. He’s really, really slow and can never remember all the rules.

Admin Mawile❣ How would the brothers react to an s/o trying to have a bond, even if small, with them? Like napping with Shuu, or pranking people with Ayato? If you could, can you include what you imaging as bonding as well (like what the S/o is trying to do?) I’m sorry if I’m asking for a lot but I looooove your work and the effort you put into it as well as never sugar coating who the brothers are 💖👌🏻

Admin Mawile: (〃⌒∇⌒) Thank you!!

Shuu (napping with him, trying to be quiet and not bother him):

-It’s annoying that you’re trying to get so close, and you’re a stupid human for thinking he’d ever have real feelings for you. It’s better that you’re finally cooperating and not making trouble for him, but he can’t help but be disgusted by the pathetic effort to reach out to him.

Reiji (Obeying him, trying to meet his standards without arguing):

-While your efforts to be a more acceptable, well-mannered servant for him are much more pleasant than the usual fuss, you should know better than to expect any reciprocation. You’re prey and nothing more, and no amount of compliance will ever change that.

Ayato (offering blood, going along with what he wants to do):

-Cooperating might make him hurt you less, and he falls for it distressingly easily. As soon as you start calling him the best, you can see the satisfaction in his eyes. It’s unlikely that you’ll be able to draw real feeling out of him, but you’re definitely securing a place as his favorite human.

Kanato (catering to his every whim, agreeing with him):

-Quiet, submissive dolls are always better, and at least you’re smart enough to obey. You’re much more pleasant to be around now that you know how to shut up and be a good doll. He honestly doesn’t understand what you’re trying to do, and sees it as finally having broken you.

Laito (entertaining him, accepting certain activities):

-He seems to be delighted with your compliance, and takes every opportunity to praise you for being so good for him. Despite the kind words, he’s as cruel as ever, and you can’t help but feel like you’re being used, like there’s nothing genuine about the affection he’s so willing to give.

Subaru (keeping him company, while trying not be a bother):

-It’s annoying that you won’t leave him alone. You should be afraid of him, not acting like he’s something you can just make friends with. He goes out of his way to be more ferocious than ever in the hopes of scaring you off, and only gets more and more frustrated when it doesn’t work.

Ruki (obeying him, showing interest in things he likes):

-While it’s good that you know enough to obey your master, he doesn’t like that you’re trying to act for yourself. If he wanted a bond from you, he would be the one to initiate it. It’s hard to find a reason to punish such obedience, but you’ll still be getting a thorough lecture on the matter.

Kou (giving him what he wants, praising him and his idol business):

-At first, he accepts your sudden adoration as natural. It’s exactly how human women are supposed to behave, and only after reading your true thoughts does he realize that you’re much more serious. Then, in a slight panic, he resorts to manipulating you more than ever.

Yuuma (helping in his garden, offering blood and sugar cubes):

-He takes the affection at face value and accepts whatever you want to do. If you want to bond with him, that’s your problem, he’s just going to enjoy the easy meals and extra help. Unconsciously, he might wind up feeling fondly towards you, but it’s unlikely that he’ll realize it.

Azusa (hurting him, letting him cut you):

-You’ve basically won his eternal love. Since you hurt him so nicely, you must really care about him. Accepting pain from him too just solidifies the idea in his mind, and he becomes convinced that he’s someone very important to you. It’s worryingly easy to win him over.

Carla (being respectful, submitting to his will without question):

-Your current behavior is exactly what he expects from a meager human. You should submit to the First Blood king in every way, and not just because you’re seeking some pathetic connection. He’s not going to lower himself to dealing with your feelings, so you’ll be allowed to carry on with it.

Shin (trying to keep him amused, offering blood):

-He mostly just thinks it’s hilarious that you’re trying to reach out. You must be stupid for thinking that he’d ever really care about you, and despite how pleasant your methods are, he can’t help but want to mess with you even more. You’re a fun human to toy with, that’s fore sure.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my pet au questions! I have a few more if you don’t mind! What happens to pets when their owners die? How are they named? By the parents, the sellers, or the owners? Are pets trained to handle emotional situations from their owners? Like if an owner started crying over something, is it the pet’s ‘duty’ to try and comfort them? If an owner gets injured in some way, are pets trained in ways to help? Are pet-sitters a thing? Is there pet-specific clothing?

Admin Mawile:ヾ(●・◇・●)ノ Yay!! More good questions!

-Just like a cat or dog, they’re either re-homed, sent to a shelter, or put down. Special varieties like First Bloods will be sold off to another owner, and the deceased’s friends and family have the option to take an abandoned pet. If no home is found, they’re either given to a shelter or put down.

-Some breeders name their stock, but most refer to them by some kind of serial number. Names are more common among the fancier varieties (that people are willing to put more effort into), and an owner can always name/rename a pet. The only exception are certain show pets that have a history tied to a certain name and would have to keep it. Parents are kept away from their offspring as much as possible to prevent unnecessary bonds.

-It would depend on the pet. Some are trained to have a function similar to service dogs, while others (usually low quality) are taught to be used as “stress relief” for their owners, usually in rather violent means. Since vampires are very tough physically, it’s very easy for regulations regarding treatment to be avoided (it’s not anything can actually hurt them), and there are many horrible violent practices. Generally, though, they would expect to be beaten for being in the way of an upset owner, or worse, causing the upset in the first place.

-Again, it would depend on the pet. Some are trained to handle those problems, others would only know to stay out of the way and not make anything worse.

-Pet sitters are absolutely a thing. The qualifications and care would obviously be different than someone watching over a dog, but yes, they exist. However, I would assume that there’s a lot of unpleasant people in that practice.

-Yes! Pet specific clothing is usually simple and loose, just enough to cover vital areas while staying out of the way. Different varieties of pets, like treasured purebreds and show pets have a wide variety of outfits available, but for any kind of pet, the clothing is specifically made to not look too much like anything a human would normally wear.

Reaction from the boys waking up finding there S/O nuzzled up next to them and realizing she sneaked into there bed while they were sleeping

Admin Mawile: (*´・v・)

Shuu: Whatever. It just means the bed is warmer. He honestly might roll over on top of you, if not ignore you altogether.

Reiji: After a brief moment wondering if he can pass this off as his idea, you get shoved out of the bed and thoroughly punished.

Ayato: He’ll let you stay, but you’re getting bitten for your troubles. Not to mention forever teased about it.

Kanato: He immediately starts screaming at you for invading his room and touching him without permission.

Laito: Don’t do that. Don’t enter his room, don’t even touch his bed. All it will get you is trapped there for a while.

Subaru: Either panic and shoves you out of the coffin altogether, or takes the easy opportunity to bite you.

Ruki: He’s too tired to bother getting rid of you at that moment, but when he’s had some more sleep, you’re in trouble.

Kou: Of course you can stay! As long as you’re willing to pay for the trouble with you obedience to him.

Yuuma: Probably doesn’t even wake up. There’s a chance he’ll roll over on top of you though, and that’s just painful.

Azusa: He stays very, very quiet, and as far to “his side” of the bed as he can, so as not to bother you while you’re sleeping so peacefully.

Carla: He’s a deep enough sleeper that you’re fairly likely to get away with it. Just leave before he can wake up and get mad.

Shin: Bites you, very painfully, and then throws you quite literally out the door do you can’t bother him anymore.
