some sad headcanons about reiji, kou, and laito for the pet!au?

Admin Mawile: (ц`ω´ц*) I get too much joy out of this type of angst~

Reiji:

-His entire self worth centers around earning an owner. If he’s not good enough to be adopted, than he’s better off dead. No one will ever want him if he can’t please them, and he’s devoted his entire being to becoming the most obedient, well-behaved pet imaginable.

-Being worthless is his ultimate fear, and anything that even hints at it upsets him horribly. If one of his more troubled brothers got adopted before him, or if an owner ever returned him or threw him away, he would shut down, unable to handle the idea that he has no value.

Kou:

-He was rented out to torture at the shelter, and bears numerous scars from that time. Despite being small and weak, he was defanged for no reason other than the patrons entertainment, and has permanent marks from everything from knife wounds to burns, severe enough to never fully heal.

-Because of how useless he is to his brothers, he has strongly considered just ending his own life and getting out of their way. All he can do is stayed curled up and fighting off nightmares, unable to even function from the trauma haunting him, so they’d have to be better off without him.

Laito:

-Although he’d sooner die than mention it to anyone, he was used as a certain type of pet for a while. While he was still cute enough to be profitable, his breeder sought out some extra money from the practice, which went on for a couple years until age took away his appeal.

-He is entirely unable to trust humans, and believes them all to be only out for their own benefit. Even an owner would only keep him until he lost his worth, and none of them would ever care about hum beyond their own happiness. As soon as he loses his worth, they’d turn on him.

Child!AU where the boys feel like they did something wrong even though they really didn’t do anything bad, and are scared that their moms are going to hurt them or punish them. (Any of the boys are fine!)

Admin Mawile:(`〇Д〇)Poor kids…

Shuu:

-His mother’s idea of punishment was usually just locking him up for a while and forcing even more work on him to keep him quiet and out of the way. He doesn’t want to not be able to go outside again, or be stuck in his room studying while he now knows just what kind of love he’s missing out on.

Reiji:

-You may not be capable of the kind of beatings he’d receive at his old home, but that doesn’t mean he wants to find out. He has to either fix this mistake quickly or face bruised, bleeding legs, cold, aching nausea from the shock and pain, and worst of all, knowing that he’d finally disappointed you too.

Ayato:

-Even though you’ve always been so much nicer than the old hag, all he can think about is being thrown into the lake again, choked or beaten or starved for disobeying you. He hides, because it’s the only thing he can think to do, in some childish, ridiculously easy to find place.

Kanato:

-His mother rarely bothered with punishing him, but when she did, it was brutal and distant, not enough attention to make the pain worth it. If you too push him away, turn cold and uncaring because you finally realized he’s not worth loving, that would be a worse punishment than any pain you could inflict.

Laito:

-In some ways, his mother’s love was worse than any punishment she was capable of. Whatever you come up with could be brutal, yes, but still nothing compared to the memories he has of what happened with her. He’ll take any punishment you want him to, so long as he doesn’t have to back to that.

Subaru:

-Are you going to turn violent and beat him until he can hardly stand? Or will you poison his food when he’s not looking? His mother’s punishments were always unpredictable, and the terror of trying to predict what you’ll do is almost worse than the act itself. He knows he’s bad, so please go a bit easy on him

Ruki:

-The memories of the orphanage are all but choking him, ideas of what you could find to burn him with, what sharp objects might be just out of sight. Rationally, he knows you’re nothing but kind, but with his scars aching and mind clouded with terror, it’s hard to think about anything but the potential danger.

Kou:

-From the moment he realized he might be punished, he shut down and tried to hide. Adults being mad at him means horrible, horrible pain, and whether you decide to hurt him yourself or rent him out to someone else who will enjoy it, he can’t take being hurt like that again.

Yuuma:

-He’s strong enough to take it if you need to beat him, but what really scares him is if you choose something else. All he can think about is being starved again like the orphanage did, or worst of all, if you take his mistake out on his brothers. He’do anything to apologize, so long as they’ll be safe.

Azusa:

-Although he’s nothing but miserable that he’s disappointed you, the idea that you might finally hurt him is almost too exciting to bear. There are so many wonderful things you could do to him, so many ways he could make himself useful to you and good again in your eyes for taking it all.

Carla:

-Just thinking about all the kind of punishment he deserves makes him absolutely sick, shameful tears pricking at his eyes. He’s earned it, of course, acted out badly enough that you have every right to put him back in his place, but that makes it no less terrifying to soon be on the receiving end of your wrath.

Shin:

-Based on the kind of things that had always happened to his brother, he’s nothing but terrified of what you might do to him now. No matter what, though, he’s determined to take it with dignity and make both you and Carla proud of how strong he can be. The true fear is messing up again and losing your love.

A scenario child Laito was having a nightmare and he woke up crying and screaming the reader came running in and she smiles and hugged him and reader saying it’s ok and it ok it show your weak side to me I will never push you away you did a a amazing job protecting and look out you brother and now let me take care of you what will Laito be thinking and feeling about hearing this for the reader I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense my English is very bad

Admin Mawile: (。’▽’。)♡ (Warning for Laito’s backstory and all the nastiness that comes with it!!)

-Shocked awake, it takes everything he has not to scream.

She would have hit him for making noise. She would have choked him into the bed. She would have kissed him and pet his hair and then turned away like he was no better than the endless suitors she rejected.

He didn’t realize he was making noise, high, whining sounds just short of desperate wails, until you were there next to him.

Flinching back, he ducked away from you and tried to hide. You were going to hurt him, hurt him just like she did, punish him for being such a nuisance and waking you up.

You didn’t dare touch him, hands hovering inches away from his thin, shaking back, buried under every blanket he could grab.

There were countless things you wanted to tell him, but when he was terrified of nothing more than you’re pretense, it would be all but impossible to help. All you could do was stay close and try to comfort him.

And wish he could be brave enough to reach out to you for comfort.

Pet au scenario where shu Yuma ruki Subaru master that is very kind and has all the boys trust what would they do if they got drunk and deeply kisses them

Admin Mawile:「(°ヘ°) That’s really not a good idea. Also, warning for misunderstood consent issues. Pets don’t understand that they can say no.

Shuu:

-And here he’d really been starting to think you’d be one of the nice ones.

You had been such a kind owner so far, never going out of your way to hurt him. He’d honestly been starting to believe that it would stay that way.

As pretty as he was, that kind of pet had always been a future, and, drunk or not, now that you were showing interest he had no choice but to give in and let you do what you wanted.

Leaning into the kiss, being careful not to scrape you with his fangs, he silently mourned the loss of what might have been a good home.

Yuuma:

-With his size, he hadn’t expected to be a desirable pet.

That was always an option for the pretty ones, but he’d thought he’d be safe from it. You’d been so nice too, a better owner than he’d ever dreamed of; it made it all the worse that you were turning on him now.

It took everything he had not to pull back and flee. If he made you angry now, there would be no telling what you’d get angry enough to do.

So all he could do was hold still and try to panic, eyes closing in terror as his hands clenched at his sides.

Ruki:

-Though this had always been something to expect, you honestly hadn’t seemed the type to do it.

He should have known better. No human ever stayed so kind. It only made sense that you’d finally turn on him and become like all the rest. He couldn’t help the sickening sense of betrayal.

The nausea didn’t fade, even as leaned in to meet your kiss, stomach churning and body shaking with nerves.

This was exactly what he’d wanted to avoid.

Subaru:

-He flinched back almost immediately when your lips touched his, panicking for just a moment before remembering his place.

If you really wanted him for that, violent and disobedient as he’d always been, he had no room to deny you. Leaning in and accepting the kiss was all he could do, careful of the tender spots where fangs had once been.

It was probably too much to ask, but hopefully you wouldn’t keep wanting this. The closeness was already so terrifying.

Pretending to like more would be misery.

Hey~ how would the brothers react to seeing a kid going through a similar situation as they did when they were kids? Ex. Like a Reiji seeing a kid who tries hard to please his mother but is constantly rejected? Or Kou abused like he was? Thanks, I really like your writing~

Admin Mawile: (。•́︿•̀。) Warning for LOTS of child abuse and really unhealthy attitudes about it

Shuu:

-Aside from bringing back some of the worse memories of his own childhood, it doesn’t really bother him. Someone else’s suffering means nothing about his own, no matter ho familiar it is.

Reiji:

-Seeing the same kind of misery in someone else makes him sick. Not only does he see far too much of himself in the pathetic child, countless memories of his own traumas come flooding back.

Ayato:

-It’s not his fault if that wimpy kid isn’t tough enough to fight back! He took care of his own problems, and someone who just sits there and cries isn’t going to be getting any sympathy from him.

Kanato:

-How pathetic. That broken look on the child’s face makes him absolutely sick. Seeing such a perfect reflection of his own abandonment and loneliness hurts in ways he’d never, ever admit to.

Laito:

-Outwardly, all he does is make some awful comment about how that child’s mother must love him too much too, but inside, it’s everything he can do not to shut down in panic and vomit on the spot.

Subaru:

-It’s easy to call himself a monster under those circumstance, but some mostly innocent kid just seems miserable. He can’t bring himself to even watch, and hides in his coffin for days afterwards, avoiding everything.

Ruki:

-Even worse than his usual nightmares, the all-too-familiar memories have him curled up on the floor, more terrified than he’d ever be able to admit to. The thoughts that it all brings back are just too much.

Kou:

-He goes completely blank, eyes turning glassy and body shaking. It’s making him sicker every moment, but he can’t turn away from the other child, frozen in place by the memories pinning him down.

Yuuma:

-There are plenty of miserable kids in the world, and this one shouldn’t be any different, and yet something about a fire is making him jittery and nervous, long-forgotten memories pressing at his thoughts.

Azusa:

-It’s kind of sad that someone else would have to be so unhappy, but at least this child too has pain to help him. There will surely be a happy ending for this child too, just like his own.

Carla:

-There was nothing wrong with his childhood. The training from his father was what made him so strong, and this child being so ungrateful is just pathetic, no matter how sick he’s starting to feel.

Shin:

-It’s pathetic how this other kid is reacting, and he hates how similar it all is to him. The ignorance and desperation to earn someone’s favor are painful to watch, even though he’s supposed to be so far from that.

Reactions of the boys witnessing their S/O crying while she’s asleep

Admin Mawile: (*´・o・) Poor s/o…

Shuu: It doesn’t matter if you cry, it’s just hopefully a sign that you’ll be breaking soon and making less trouble.

Reiji: Crying is such a disgraceful sight, but he can let it slide this time, if only for the satisfaction that you must be falling apart.

Ayato: If you’re breaking this soon, then you’ll probably stop fighting him. He hopes you won’t get boring already.

Kanato: The tears streaking down your face have a certain fragile look, like a broken little doll. How cute.

Laito: Those despair filled tears are so beautiful on such a miserable little face, he can’t help but take a bite.

Subaru: Of course you’re going to be ruined by this awful house, humans are just too fragile not to fall apart from the misery.

Ruki: Despair is just the first step to obedience. Maybe now that you’re starting to crack, you’ll learn how to behave better.

Kou: Normally, ugly tears like that would just look gross, but on you, that tear-filled look is just precious.

Yuuma: Crying isn’t going to get you anywhere, you’re stuck right there and no amount of despair could save you.

Azusa: Is he not doing enough to make you happy? Tomorrow, he’ll have to work extra hard to give you pleasure.

Carla: You’re so obviously weak; it’s clear you won’t last much longer before you break, finally bending to his will.

Shin: See, this is just how pathetic humans are. You look disgusting, dripping with tears and obviously falling apart.

Hi, Your blog nice. As the boys are related to a girl who was abducted from her family. And she came to him. And she was calm enough but at one point burst into tears in front of everyone. I am interested in the reaction: Shu Rukimi, Reiji, Ayato, especially.

(´∀`)♡ Your English is just a little off, so hopefully I’m understanding your request.

Shuu:

-He doesn’t care for foolish, emotional humans. It’s not like you’re ever going to see your family again, and you’ll be a lot better off just getting used to that. There’s no sympathy in this household for such pathetic feelings, and you’re not doing yourself any good by showing off how weak you are.

Ruki:

-He dislikes when Livestock like you makes a scene, complaining about things far out of your control and bothering everyone with pointless tears. You’re not gaining any sympathy by making an annoyance of yourself. Perhaps a thorough punishment will make your place a little more clear.

Reiji:

-He doesn’t tolerate unnecessary outbursts, and breaking out in tears over something far beyond your influence is definitely unnecessary. You’ll be punished for making a scene, and hopefully the lesson will stick. He doesn’t want to have to deal with such bothersome emotions again.

Ayato:

-The vulnerable humans are always more fun to mess with, and leaving your insecurities so wide open is just asking to be hurt for it. He can hardly resist how pathetic you are, how just missing your family is enough to leave you in tears. Now, you’re his target for sure.

Would you pretty please do how Kanato, Shu, Subaru and Laito react/headcanon when they think their lover died a long time ago, But then find out she was really imprisoned by an enemy?

Admin Mawile: Σ(・口・)

Kanato:

-Depending on how well he liked you, he might not even bother to go looking. Dolls are easily replaceable, and unless you were someone very special, there’s no reason for him to waste his time getting you back. If you were worth enough, it’s not much of an issue for him to burn whoever or whatever took you, or better yet, scream until one of his brothers does the work.

Shuu:

-Getting kidnapped is exactly what you should have expected to happen. No one who gets involved with him lives very long, and that’s just one turn of bad fortune that staying away from him could have prevented. He’s not going to come save you; it’s far too much work to go after someone who will just suffer more for being reunited with him.

Subaru:

-Yeah, he’s probably coming to destroy whoever took you. It’s definitely reassuring to know that you’re alive, not dead through some fault of his, and if beating up a few idiots is all it takes to get you back, that’s more than doable. Even better, he gets to take out his anger on the people that thought it would be a smart idea to hurt you.

Laito:

-The more important you were to him, the more likely he is to leave you to your fate. You were a persistent reminder of the flaws in his practiced facade, and with you gone, there’s no one left to point out the holes. He’s sure to hate himself for it later, but he puts on an amused face and pretends like he never liked you that well to begin with.

OOooooh it’s super cool that you guys are writing them as kids!! Since Kanato was neglected, how does his kid version deal with attention now :O

Admin Mawile: (´ω`*) Thanks!! I hope we can get a lot more asks for it!!

Horribly. Kanato can’t quite get used to the idea that affection is something that doesn’t have to be earned or forced, and constantly tries to either please you enough to (in his mind) warrant it or throw the kind of fit that you’ll have to pity. He clings to you almost constantly, desperate for any scrap of attention or love you’re willing to give him. He doesn’t understand that you can love him for no reason, or that you won’t stop paying attention to him the moment he stops entertaining you.

A scenario where ruki, reiji, laito and shuu are cheating on their s/o

Admin Mawile:(; ̄д ̄) Half of these guys hardly see a problem with “cheating”…

Ruki:

-It probably didn’t mean anything.

You knew that vampires fed on whatever prey they pleased, that what looked horribly intimate to your human mind was nothing more than another meal, another piece of prey to them.

Even if the idea of him with someone else turned your stomach, to him, it had to be meaningless.

So you ignored it, you pretended like you were the only one to see his gentle moments, the only one he’d smile at.

And even if there was more to it, you didn’t want to think about it.

Reiji:

-Girls practically hung off of him at school, you knew, and long ago you had decided not to be bothered by that.

Reiji wasn’t the type you expected to want more than one difficult partner, and if anything, you were more shocked that he’d found someone else that could keep his interest and meet his standards.

For all the callousness he’d treated you with, you weren’t even sure if it would count as cheating for him to do the same to another.

You pictured him, whip in hand, imposing on some poor human who had no idea what they were getting into until that moment, still blissfully unaware of the monster they’d been cuddling up to.

You knew what would become of them, and felt nothing but pity.

Laito:

-You couldn’t say you were surprised.

Laito had never had any reservations about feeding from or flirting with other people, and when he came home hand in hand with a girl, as clear a picture of a couple as you had ever seen, you couldn’t manage to be upset.

You payed attention, and found that he did this constantly, that almost every day he was pursuing someone other than you.

Even if you said something, he wouldn’t stop. Laito obviously saw no problem with what he was doing, made no attempts to hide it.

So you resigned yourself to letting it happen.

Shuu:

-The cheating itself was less surprising than that Shuu had stayed awake long enough to pursue someone.

You were stuck with him, had little choice in being available, easy prey.

It was hard to picture him working to find someone else, actually bothering to get up and hunt, waste energy on a person who wouldn’t just stumble upon him at opportune moments.

Bringing up the infidelity would get you nowhere. If you were lucky, Shuu would just laugh it off and chastise you for assuming he’d be any different.

So you tried to picture how miserable his next prey would be in the end.
