DL Questions 9,10,13,23 ?

9. Favorite thing about the fandom?

Admin Mawile: Hmmm, probably just that there is a fandom. I’m into a couple of manga that have absolutely zero fandom, and after struggling to find people who even know what those manga are, I’ve come to appreciate fanworks and a fandom in general a LOT more. 

10. Least favorite thing about the fandom?

Admin Mawile: Oh boy… The fandom in general is, unfortunately, one of the worst I’ve been in. The art theft, drama, discourse, and everything else is pretty terrible, but at this point, I’ve kind of become desensitized to it. I guess what I really like the least is a couple people in the fandom that I’ve had bad experiences with. 

13. One thing you would change for the entire series?

Admin Mawile: I have a couple things!

A. I kind of expect this anyway, but a route for Karlheinz would be really cool! He’s terrible, yeah, but his character has the potential to be pretty interesting, and getting the full story on him would probably explain a lot. 

B. Personally, I’d really like an option for Yui/the player to be the Do-S. It kinda goes against the point of DL, but, ya’ll gotta admit it would be cool. I could go on for ages about the potential that a set up like this would have… Even though I know the games would never do it, it’s something that I’ve definitely considered writing about. 

23. Any words of wisdom for any of the boys?

Admin Mawile: That’s a tough one… Since it says for “any” of the boys, I’m going to direct this at Carla. If there was any way he’d listen to me, I’d like him to know that a good king doesn’t have to be a cruel, heartless monster. It’s okay for him to have feelings and open up to people he trusts, and it doesn’t make him any less respectable to do so. Just, a general “it’s okay not to be what you were always forced to be” kind of thing. 

Not prompted but if you got the chance to save one of the boys as children from the neglect and/or abuse they face. Which one would it be and why

Admin Mawile: ANON THIS QUESTION IS TOO HARD ;w; There is absolutely no way that I can pick just one of them. There’s just way too much pain in all of their lives to choose between them. I can think of a good reason why every one of the boys needs to be rescued, soooo I’m overriding this question and saving all of them!

I don’t know you personally but what i’ve seen, you seem like a very sweet person! Like I can picture you being extremely considerate, amible, and loving! Ruki needs that ( they all do tbh) but I see you and Ruki matching up over literature. You write amazing pieces all the time and Ruki becomes your editor, then love blossoms! ^_^

Admin Mawile: This is super sweet!! (o゜◇゜)ノ Thank you so much for sending such a nice message! I have never been particularly fond of Ruki, but the way you described this, I can actually sort of see it! First of all, thank you so much for thinking of me so nicely. “Considerate, amiable, and loving” is very much what I aim to be! And the writing thing actually sounds really fun!! I had never thought of it like this, but I think I have a new interest in Ruki now~

Diabolik “This or That” game! Could you answer :Copper and Lapiz Lasuli?

(Copper) – Pick a bad deed: burned Ruki’s favorite book or threw a spider at Laito.

Admin Mawile: Considering that I’m much more likely to get away with the latter, I’m gonna toss that spider at Laito! While Laito does kind of scare me, it might be worth it to genuinely scare him for a minute >:3c

(Lapis Lazuli) – Last, but not least, if you got to live any of the endings from any game, which would it be?

Admin Mawile: That’s… a tough one. Well, considering that my feelings towards the boys are more parental/platonic than romantic, I’m going to say none of them! (｡´∀｀)ﾉ

Although, I’m going to be nasty here for a second and give honorary mention to that one ending where Cordelia!Yui more or less has Reiji as her personal slave. Ssshhh I can be gross once in a while >3>

19. Who do you think would make the best Vampire King?

Admin Mawile: While not exactly vampire king, I’d say Carla. And not just because he’s my favorite. He’s literally been trained to be in that role since childhood, and he’s the one that I think most deserves to rule. Despite some of his… worse personality traits, Carla would want his kingdom to succeed, and even though he already has an ego the size of the Siberian Tundra, I’d say he’s most suited for handling a position of power. 

If we’re not just counting the boys, though, Yui is by far the most reasonable and responsible person in the Dialovers cast. 

28. Most surprising fact you’ve heard about in DL?

Admin Mawile: I’m going to talk about Carla for this again, but that one incident in which he got his head stuck in a pumpkin mask shocks me to this day. It’s ridiculous. It’s hilarious. It’s everything Carla would hate to be. I still can’t believe it’s canon, and I will never get over it.

1. Which diaboy would you bring home to your parents?

Admin Mawile: Um, none of them??? They’re all kind of… bad… If I had to pick, though, probably Azusa. He’s probably the nicest of all of them, and could at least be trusted to try to behave. 

7. Would you stay with the Sakamaki, Mukami, or Tsukinami family?

Admin Mawile: Tsukinami!!!! Carla is by far my favorite of the boys, so, while all options have their risks, I’m picking the one that means I’d be able to spend more time with the best boy! (Also, the less vampires to be split between/fought over by, the better)

22. Who would you not date at all?

Admin Mawile: To be honest, I don’t feel much desire to date any of them. I’ve mentioned this before, but I’d much rather be a mother figure to them than a girlfriend. If that’s an option, I’d rather just be the Good Mom.

Rust, pearl, peridot?

(Rust) – Who gets to give you a haircut: Kanato or Azusa

Admin Mawile: If, in this hypothetical situation, me and Kanato get along, then I think he’d do a better job of it, but Azusa is much less likely to mess things up on purpose >3> Thus, I’ll choose Azusa!

(Pearl) – Pick one to be on your zombie apocalypse team: Shuu or Kanato

Admin Mawile: Shuu may be strong, but Kanato is vicious when provoked, so I think I’ll go with him! 

(Peridot) – Pick the more preferable activity: assisting Laito with his crossword puzzle or cooking with Ayato.

Admin Mawile: As fun as helping Laito with a crossword puzzle sounds, I have the feeling that things would not end there. I’ll go with cooking with Ayato because, A. he’s adorable, and B. my FAV concept is being a healthy mother figure to the boys, and that option fits that image well 😀
