For the pet au, say that each family was kept together. How would the brothers feel if their owner used a point system with a heigrarchy to give rewards instead of punishments? Who would be jealous, who wouldn’t want to participate, who would be at the top all the time? Would they be more accepting of rewards if they had to compete for them? (Take this in whatever direction you want, sorry if I got too specific)

Admin Mawile: (。・ω・。) This is a very interesting idea!!!

Shuu:

-He’s too lazy (depressed) to care much for the point system, but when he starts seeing that you’re serious about rewarding them, he might try to do a little better. While far from competitive, it’s just basic survival instinct to want to receive whatever kindness you’re freely giving to them.

Reiji:

-In his mind, this is the perfect opportunity to show his new owner that he’s worth keeping. He goes above and beyond to be flawless, and strives endless to achieve everything you ask of him. Rewards only serve to enforce that this behavior is correct, and that this is the way to get in your good graces.

Ayato:

-He also tries ridiculously hard to be on top of your chart, but more for the reason of being the best among his brothers. He’s horribly competitive, and will do nearly anything to prove that he’s the well-behaved one. Unfortunately, this doesn’t always go so well, and tends to end in clumsy mistakes.

Kanato:

-If any of the rewards are direct, non-painful attention, he can be just as competitive as Ayato. He doesn’t care about being better than his brothers, specifically, but staying in your favor is the best reward he could imagine. He also gets jealous of the others very, very easily.

Laito:

-So you’re going to play that game? Unfortunately, he only sees the attempt at offering them rewards as a way of tricking them into striving for nothing, and while he cooperates on the surface, he’s not likely to believe that you’re being honest for a long time. It just doesn’t seem like something a human would do.

Subaru:

-Well, there’s no way he’d ever be the good one. He pretty much gives up on ever being on top of the chart from the beginning, and allows himself to fall behind. However, the first time he actually earns a reward, that all changes. Suddenly, he realizes that you’re serious about thinking he can be good.

Ruki:

-As much as he’d like to be the best for his owner, he’s afraid that whoever falls behind in the point system will be punished for it. Out of a desire to protect his brothers, he ensures that he’s always the lowest on your system, so that if you have to punish one of them, it will never be anyone but him.

Kou:

-As soon as he realizes that the point system is a way to avoid being hurt all over again, he’ll do anything to be on top. He’s so scared of being hurt again that it doesn’t matter what he has to do to earn the reward, so long as it means you won’t be as cruel as the people before.

Yuuma:

-He’s also more worried about his brothers than anything, and even though he would like to earn your happiness, he’s too afraid that doing so would mean someone else getting hurt. He can’t stand that Ruki always tries to take the brunt of things, and winds up doing almost the same to protect everyone.

Azusa:

-In his mind, “reward” is often synonymous with pain. He’s delighted to be good for you and do what you want, but it might be quite the shock when you realize he thinks he was doing it all so you would hurt him. He doesn’t care if you hurt him or be kind to him, as long as you’re happy with what he does.

Carla:

-He already strives to be well-behaved, and a point system doesn’t do much to change that. For both his pride as a First Blood and simple survival when it comes to not being hurt, he’s good at being compliant and docile. A point system with actual rewards just encourages him to want to do well.

Shin:

-Even with just one other to compete against, Shin does everything to stay on top. He’s not fond of being bent to a human’s will, but the idea of being better than his brother even in this one thing means a lot to him. Unfortunately, his rebellious nature means he rarely manages to behave better than Carla.

How would the S boys behave if their mothers were pretty much the same personality-wise but they loved their sons and were more affectionate? Like Cordelia was still a b*tch, Beatrix was still stoic and pushy and Christa was still insane, but they did love their sons and were more open about it?

Admin Mawile: I assume you’re implying that the abuse and such didn’t happen? And I’m also going to have to consider that Karl is decent here too, otherwise I’m sure he’d mess everything up.

Shuu:

-Without being forced to study constantly and not being given any chance to be a kid, Shuu would have turned out a lot more well-adjusted. Assuming that the Edgar incident didn’t happen either, he wouldn’t be as depressed or traumatized, either. I can see this version of Shuu being a lot like his child self’; happy, cheerful, and nowhere near the tired Shuu we see in canon

Reiji:

-In a situation where he hadn’t been neglected and pitted against his brother, Reiji would probably turn out to be a capable, responsible young man who is much less bitter and cruel than the Reiji we see in canon. He wouldn’t be as desperate to prove himself as superior, for one, and wouldn’t have so much hatred and anger towards Shuu, either.

Ayato:

-If his mother hadn’t pushed him to be the best from such a young age, Ayato would be a lot different. He’d be much less arrogant and competitive without a reason to feel like he has to be on top, and he’d probably actually be a rather sweet kid, if a bit hot-headed. Ayato is more misguided than malicious to begin with, and with his issues gone, he’d probably not be too bad.

Kanato:

-It’s honestly kind of hard to imagine what Kanato would have been like if he hadn’t been horribly neglected, but I suppose the answer is that he’d be much more stable. I can imagine that he’d be less violent and possessive as well, since he wouldn’t feel like he had to fight for whatever attention he could get. He’d also probably be more mature, and behave less childishly.

Laito:

-A situation where Cordelia didn’t abuse him would change Laito’s character completely. He’d have no reason to want to be seen as a “pervert”, and wouldn’t have the messed up ideas on love, either. I see this Laito as being genuinely happy and fun, much like the facade that canon!Laito tries to put on, just with a lot less darkness lurking underneath the surface.

Subaru:

-Honestly, Christa did love Subaru in canon, I think, but if her issues were toned down to the point where she no longer did him as much damage, his mental state would be worlds better off. With no reason to hate himself or see himself as dirty or corrupted, Subaru’s self esteem issues would be pretty much fixed, and a healthier relationship with his mother would do him well.

xeno au w shu, reiji, ayato, subaru and kou: headcanons on how they’d discreetly get (request?) affection from their s/o?

Admin Mawile:ヾ(・ω・*) Assuming that this is when they’re attached!!

Shuu:

-The closest he’ll get to showing you that he wants affection is to more or less use you as a human body pillow. He doesn’t ask, just forces you to stay close to him. The reality is that it’s getting harder and harder to sleep without being able to feel you nearby, and even though it would crush his ego to admit it, he’s getting to the point where he legitimately needs you close to him.

Reiji:

-A bond like that is very difficult for him to handle, considering how few chances he’s had toe express or ask for affection. When it happens with you, the only way he can handle reacting is to get pickier and pickier about your behavior, coming up with stupid excuses for him to remain by your side, all while not realizing quite how transparent he’s being.

Ayato:

-There’s really nothing subtle about his attempts to get affection. At best, he’ll grab you and pull you into a hug, burying his face in your shoulder, but he tends towards more clumsy,, violent means when he gets frustrated. A bond is hard on him, as he normally wants all your attention, and the attachment just makes that need a thousand times worse.

Subaru:

-Wanting attention from you ends in a flustered, frustrated Subaru who does not know what to do. He’s never really tried to get anyone’s attention before, and all these fluffy feelings are quickly getting to him. He’s likely to wind up cracking and shouting something at you about wanting to spend more time together… then getting angry when he realizes what he did.

Kou:

-With his mental system of give and take, the main way he tries to get you to do something for him is to first do something for you. Thus, when he wants attention, he starts by drowning you in attention. It’s not hard at all to figure out what he’s trying to do, especially when you realize that he’s starting to act more and more childish about it, increasingly needy.

How to you think would be different if the Sakamakis ages were reversed? Subaru being the oldest Shu being the youngest etc

Admin Mawile: (*・∀・)ノ゛

Shuu:

-As the youngest, Shuu would have a lot of pressure taken off of him. I imagine that, like with Reiji, Beatrix wouldn’t care too much about her younger son, and Shuu probably would have been allowed the freedom he got in canon. Without the whole “first son” issue, his friendship with Edgar could have gone very differently, too. Overall, I imagine that this Shuu would be in a much better place, mentally, than when he’s the eldest.

Reiji:

-Since a lot of Reiji’s character has to do with his jealousy towards Shuu as the eldest, I imagine that Reiji would be very different in this situation. Not only would he have had the attention that he wanted from his mother, he never would have had to be Shuu’s second best. Reiji would probably be much less jealous and bitter overall, but I would picture that he’d have his sights on the position of heir… and be willing to do anything to get there.

Ayato:

-I hate to say this, but if he’s not Cordelia’s oldest anymore… then he’s probably going to take Laito’s place. The lack of pressure to be the best would end in a pretty different personality, and the sexual abuse would probably result in a mindset more like Laito’s. I’d have to really think about how Ayato would react to an upbringing like that, but it’s definitely an interesting prospect. A whole different kind of abuse would likely change him completely.

Kanato:

-For the most part, Kanato would be stuck in the same position he was in canon. As neither Cordelia’s oldest, nor her chosen toy, he’d go forgotten and ignored pretty much the same as what actually happened. I don’t see much of a change in him in this Au, save for his relationships to his more affected brothers. Since Laito would be assuming the position of Cordelia’s eldest, he’d probably be the one that Kanato treats more like a big brother.

Laito:

-As Cordelia’s eldest, Laito now takes the place of the one that she’s pushing to be the best and surpass her rival’s heir. Laito would have had the same “be the best at everything or I have no need for you” treatment that Ayato got, and a whole lot less of the sexual abuse that made him such a pervert. This Laito would probably be much more closer to his true self, and might not bother with a facade of happy-go-lucky cheer to cover up his real feelings.

Subaru:

Oh boy. As the oldest son and Karlheinz’s heir, Subaru would have a massive amount of pressure put on him. Much like Shuu in canon, he’d be expected to study constantly and have his personality crushed in order to be a better heir. However, assuming that nothing changed with Christa’s situation, he’d still have all of his canon issues, self hate, violent tendencies, and twisted self image on top of this. This Subaru is likely to be an absolute wreck, honestly…

How would the boys reacts to overhearing Karlheinz telling their s/o that the boys are treating her just like he treated their mothers, or how their mothers acted around him? I noticed the Sakamaki do act like their parents even though they disloke them…

Admin Mawile: (●>д<) I assume you mean just the Sakamaki?

Shuu:

-It’s too much trouble to worry about, so Shuu puts it out of his mind and tries not to think about it. Even so, the thought that he’s acting like his father hangs in his head for quite a while. He’s doomed to hurt anyone who gets close to him, though, so it’s not like there’s anything he can do to change.

Reiji:

-The very idea that he could be behaving like his mother makes him want to choke someone. Considering how his childhood scarred him, Reiji would not be pleased with even thinking that he could be acting like his parents. Of course, his ego and pride are much too strong to allow any real change.

Ayato:

-Hearing that he acts like his parents, even from that man is enough to send Ayato into a spiral of fury and doubt. He can’t stand the idea of being like either of his parents, and the fact that he can actually sort of see how he’s becoming might be enough to make him question his behavior a little bit.

Kanato:

-Just hearing those things causes a massive tantrum, which he’s likely to take out on you, if only because you’re who’s there. He hates the idea of being like either of his parents, but is far too self absorbed to take the comments to heart. The most reaction that causes is a temper tantrum and tears.

Laito:

-It does not sit well with him that he could be behaving like his parents. Laito is so locked in his own way of seeing the world that it’s unlikely that he’d change, but hearing that he’s turning into his parents will at least leave a seed of doubt, enough to make him think a little, for a long while to come.

Subaru:

-Makes sense. As angry as it makes him to hear, he is a horrible, filthy being that only corrupts everyone who gets close to him. It’s just fitting that he’d grow up to do the same things his father did. The thought of it makes Subaru feel absolutely sick, but at the same time, it’s what he’s been expecting.

For the pet au. This one is gonna hurt. How would his brothers react of Subaru was actually put down?

Admin Mawile: (●>д<)ノ

Shuu:

-For the most part, he does everything possible not to care. It would hurt too much to think about what happened to the brother he’s known since he was small, to think that he’s probably next. It was to be expected that the useless get disposed of, so there’s nothing for him to be upset over.

Reiji:

-The death of someone close to him makes him want to do everything possible not to be next. That kind of fate is what happens when one isn’t good enough to live, and the only thing he can do to avoid being put down himself is to get better and better, until he’s worth too much to be disposed of.

Ayato:

-Having his brother actually die would send him into a panic, desperate to become good enough that he won’t be next. It’s surreal that someone he’s grown up with can just be gone, and it gets to the point where he’s so scared of it happening to him that he’d do very literally anything to be good.

Kanato:

-Losing his brother, even one that he wasn’t particularly close to, would worsen his behavioral problems to a worrying extent. The reality that he really could die would leave him detached from reality, unable to do much more than cry and hope that he won’t be the next one to be gotten rid of.

Laito:

-Sad as it is, that’s the kind of thing that happens in their lives, and he’ll do his absolute best not to be bothered by it… Which doesn’t go so well. He’s more sensitive than he’d ever want to admit to, and losing a loved one leaves a huge impact on his already damaged mental state.

How would the Sakamaki’s feel about Ritcher attempting to steal their s/o seeing how she’s very kind and sweet to him despite not knowing who he truly is and he misinterpreted it as her being in love with him

Admin Mawile: (o゜◇゜)ノ Uh oh…

Shuu:

-He’s not usually one to bother too much with little problems, but something about his uncle infringing on what’s his is a good way to get him to get territorial. Richter has no place making a move on what’s not his.

Reiji:

-He’ll try to handle the situation respectfully, at first, but if that fails, well, it may be as good a chance as any to get someone troublesome out of the picture. While Reiji has respect for his father, Richter is a different matter.

Ayato:

-After everything Richter has done, this is absolutely the last straw. He’ll at least try to off his uncle, and if that fails, he’ll take things out on you for “tempting him” in the first place, even while you’re owned.

Kanato:

-Aside from whatever violent things he tries with Richter, he spends a lot of time blaming you for attracting the attention of another man. You’re likely to be hurt as well, all as part of Kanato’s typical jealous rage.

Laito:

-Considering his history with Richter, this might end in one dead vampire uncle. Laito has had more than enough of Richter getting in the way when it comes to people he “loves” and is likely to react very violently to the situation.

Subaru:

-He’ll get straight to the point… of making a good attempt to murder his uncle. Subaru is quick tempered and quick to violence, and among vampires, it’s not at all uncommon for territorial disputes to end in blood.

For Human Au. The boys have fallen in love with the vampire reader, but the latter is indifferent towards them. She only approaches them when she’s really hungry(even feeding from them is rare). What would the boys do to get the reader to notice them and their feelings?

Admin Mawile: (* ゚∀゚)ノシ

Shuu:

-Trying to get you to love him is way too much work. Instead, he lazes around in obvious places, intentionally making himself vulnerable in the hopes that he’ll be seen as adequate prey. It does’t seem likely that you’ll ever love him, but at least this way, he can get your attention all on him.

Reiji:

-He’s very, very used to fighting to be noticed, and in this situation too, he goes about it by striving to be so perfect that you could never be satisfied with anyone else. He shows off his intelligence and skills at any chance, as well as doing everything possible to prove that he’s a suitable partner for you.

Ayato:

-Feeling ignored does not sit well with his ego, and he winds up bragging and showing off around you constantly, trying to somehow impress you into thinking he’s the best. It’s actually a sort of pathetic attempt, and it comes off as much more desperate and needy than capable or impressive.

Kanato:

-Aside from crying and whining any time he catches you paying attention to anyone else, his main strategy is to guilt you into staying with him. By making himself pathetic, he thinks he can convince you that his misery would be your fault if you leave him alone, playing on what little sympathy you may have.

Laito:

-Not surprisingly, his way of getting your attention is rather lewd. He makes increasingly suggestive comments around you, practically offering himself up to be ravished, and taunting you into doing something to him. He’s good at pressing other people’s buttons, and his method may actually work.

Subaru:

-It’s hard for him to even admit that he has feelings for you, much less do something to get your attention. Maybe he lets his guard down around you just a little bit. Maybe he happens to spend more time around you than anyone else. It’s still easier than acknowledging that he loves you.

Ruki:

-His pride won’t let him do much to try to impress you, but he still winds up unintentionally showing off a bit when you’re around. He knows that he’s a capable person, and being ignored irritates him in all the worst ways. Eventually, it gets to the point where he actually tries to earn your attention.

Kou:

-He’s more than accustomed to showing off, and uses every bit of idol charm he has to try to win you over. From being almost sickeningly cutesy to fawning over your every move, he goes well out of his way to prove that he’s good prey for you, and someone that you should definitely give a chance.

Yuuma:

-The main way he tries to get close to someone is through food. It’s not easy for him to admit his feelings, but giving you a big basket of home grown produce every chance he gets is as obvious as a love confession if you know him very well. Especially considering how flustered he gets around you.

Azusa:

-Forget trying to get you notice him. He’s most likely to outright ask to be bitten. He can be horribly, horribly pushy, and if you say no, he’ll just try to talk you into hurting him. Even your anger is attention, so he won’t leave you alone no matter how upset you get with his persistence.

Carla:

-It makes absolutely no sense to him why you wouldn’t want him in the first place, but his ego won’t stand for being ignored. Even his attempts at winning your attention are clumsy and prideful, and typically include things like brutally mocking anyone else who tries to get close to you.

Shin:

-He becomes such a show off that it’s almost worrying, including throwing himself into potentially dangerous situations just to prove to you that he’s tough. He’ll pick fights with anyone who inconveniences you, and basically do everything possible to show you how cool he can be.

Human AU: You know how the boys in canon have a lot of fans @ their school? How would they react to the reader receiving gifts and being treated like some sort of celebrity? Would they be jealous of all the attention, particularly all the students who have crushes on them? What about the students the Reader likes to prey on? (this is after they’ve developed affections for the Reader)

Admin Mawile: (。・∀・)ノ

Shuu:

-He mostly thinks that all the attention is troublesome, especially considering that he’s had his own share of fans, thanks to his good looks. Being hated because he’s close to you is a real pain, and he can’t say that he’s jealous of the attention you receive for even a second.

Reiji:

-He’s never been too popular in school, and between that and the other students you prey on, he’s caught in a whole new web of jealousy. Not only are you getting more attention than he could have ever dreamed of, you’re actively choosing pathetic nobodies over him for your meals.

Ayato:

-Popularity is a very new thing for him to experience, and he’s horribly jealous that it’s so easy for you to be loved and looked up to. Even worse, you have all the prey you could ever need, and he’s left feeling like second choice. Eventually, he starts acting out to try to get your attention back.

Kanato:

-He absolutely can’t stand that you get so much attention from other students, and probably resorts to something like leaving threatening messages in the desks of anyone that you pay attention to over him. Once he has feelings for you, he’d do anything to be the only one you look at.

Laito:

-His first response is suggestions of lewd things involving you and your fans, and if that doesn’t get him in trouble, he only gets worse. He seems delighted that you have so many people interested in you, and gets weirdly flustered when he has to watch you preying on someone else in favor of him.

Subaru:

-Reclusive by nature, all the attention you get makes him very, very nervous. He can’t stand being a part of it… which makes getting him caught up in the crowds a very effective punishment. Knowing that you prey on others leaves a weirdly bitter feeling behind, one that he can’t quite explain.

Ruki:

-He’s used to a little bit of popularity, but nothing like how you’re treated. It’s frustrating to have to deal with you spending so much time with other people, especially as he starts to develop feelings for you, and the obvious fact that you have others to bite is one that is hard to accept.

Kou:

-As an idol, he’s familiar with being loved, but at school, you leave the attention he gets in the dust. He can barely believe that people would choose you over him, and seeing you preying on others just makes the jealousy worse. He can barely stand that you get so much attention so easily.

Yuuma:

-The sheer amount of fans you have is a little weird, and it mostly just reminds him of Kou. He prefers to stay out of all the fuss, and only gets involved when you force him. Your other food sources do make him a little jealous, and eventually, he blurts out something about it being easier to stick to him.

Azusa:

-He’s spent a long time being the exact opposite of popular, and all the attention you get just confuses him. What he does know is that he does not like you hurting other people. He wants to be the one that you give so much love to, not kids from school who don’t want it like he does.

Carla:

-He doesn’t mind much that you’re so popular, but when you start choosing nobodies over him for food, he starts to get annoyed. None of them come close to him in status or worth, and it irritates him that you would ever want random students instead of someone of his level.

Shin:

-He’s immediately, viciously jealous of how popular you are, and spends an embarrassing amount of time trying to prove that he’s just as good. Other people getting bitten by you just makes this tendency worse as he struggles to show you that he’s better than any of them, and clearly your best choice.
