-He’s used to a mother who’s practically perfect, and has no idea how to deal with you being the near opposite. However, it’s definitely nice not to feel like he has to measure up to someone so much better than him.
Reiji:
-He has a hard time putting up with imperfections in himself, and it definitely takes him a while to get used to you being so much less than perfect. He’s definitely used to holding people to high standards.
Ayato:
-Being the only thing you can keep track of is definitely a boost to his ego, and it’s good for him to see someone who isn’t good at everything, unlike how his mother made him think he’s expected to be.
Kanato:
-As long as you remember him and Teddy, he doesn’t care a bit about how disorganized you are. All that really matters to him is if he’s getting attention from you, and he’s not likely to care about your personal habits.
Laito:
-Your forgetful nature gives him a good opportunity to win some of your favor by being helpful. If he helps you keep track of things, you’ll look at him fondly, making his position in your household much safer.
Subaru:
-It doesn’t bother him a bit that you’re forgetful. It’s so much of a shock that you remember him that he doesn’t think to care. He’s much more used to just being an afterthought in people’s minds, even his mother’s.
Ruki:
-Even though he finds himself a bit irritated with how imperfect you are, he’s a huge help in helping you remember and keep track of things. Honestly, you’re too good for him to bother with being picky.
Kou:
-He barely notices how forgetful you are, in all honestly. He’s not one to pay attention to the small flaws of the person who actually takes care of him. To him, you’re perfect no matter what you’re like.
Yuuma:
-No matter how forgetful you are, he’s happy to help out, doing whatever he can to help you function every day. He doesn’t mind any bit of your personality, and is always happy that you manage to remember him.
Azusa:
-He hardly even realizes how disorganized you can be, mostly thanks to the fact that he’s twice as spacey himself. He also tends to see you as absolutely perfect, and barely notices any flaws that you have.
Carla:
-He has no problems with how you are, other than the fact that it’s hard for him to accept anything less than perfection. He’s always been trained to have to be perfect, and he doesn’t understand how anyone could not be the same.
Shin:
-He tends to get a little bit frustrated with your bad memory, but as long as you remember him, he won’t get too upset. He’s used to an environment where perfection is expected, and can’t believe you can be so not.
-He pretends to not care, but if you pay attention, you can see that he’s getting rather flustered. Acknowledging to himself that he likes what you do to him is one thing, but having it pointed out is worse in so many ways.
Reiji:
-He’s so embarrassed that his blush practically glows. If you point it out too much, he’ll get angry and defensive, so go easy on the poor guy before you actually crush what little ego he has left.
Ayato:
-It’s a huge hit to his pride to have you actually pointing out how much he likes being pushed around, and he gets angry out of sheer desperation to make you stop. His ego absolutely can’t take being teased.
Kanato:
-If you tease him about it too much, he’s likely to cry. On one hand, you’re paying attention to him, which is always good, but he doesn’t like being made fun of at all, especially over something so embarrassing.
Laito:
-He laughs and goes along with it, and depending on if your relationship is close, might tease you back for being a sadist. Inside, he doesn’t like being teased very much, but it’s better than some things you could do.
Subaru:
-He turns so red you might actually have to worry about him passing out, and stutters out an absolutely pathetic defense. He can’t take embarrassment of any kind, and practically shuts down from the teasing.
Ruki:
-It very nearly crushes his pride to have you pointing out something like that even if it is true. He’ll try to end the conversation quickly, too ashamed to handle you continuing to make fun of him.
Kou:
-He tries to laugh off the teasing, but it’s obvious how red his face and ears have gone. He starts tripping over his words quickly, visibly embarrassed by the kind of teasing that’s impossible to deny or dismiss.
Yuuma:
-He ducks his head and refuse to look at you, face heating up as you point out what’s possibly the most embarrassing thing he’s ever had to admit. He gets angry quickly out of a sheer desire to make you stop.
Azusa:
-He happily agrees with you, completely missing the point of the teasing. It doesn’t embarrass him a bit that he’s masochistic, and if anything, he’s hopeful that you’ll do something to prove that he is.
Carla:
-He goes quiet almost immediately, trying to keep his cool even as you tear his pride to shreds. He’s so embarrassed the tips of his ears are actually going red, hands faintly shaking from the shame.
Shin:
-He gets viciously angry with you for teasing him, snapping at you to shut up already and quit making fun of him. He can’t stand the hits to his pride and would do almost anything just to make you stop.
-He’s glad that he doesn’t have to bother with putting you in your place, and mostly lazes around and demands things of you. Since you’re so compliant, there’s no reason not to mess with you by forcing you to feed him and spoil him, and he thinks it’s downright cute how you always rush to please.
Reiji:
-He’s highly pleased that you already show the first signs of being a decent partner, and especially that he won’t have to do any more to train you than get your manners up his standards. You definitely have some potential as a long term partner, and he’ll make good use of that prospective quality.
Ayato:
-He gets a little bit bored of you not fighting back, and comes up with creative ways to punish you anyway just so he has something fun to do. He honestly prefers a partner with a little bit of fight in them, although having someone around who worships his every move isn’t bad at all.
Kanato:
-You’re the ideal doll, and he takes full advantage of how obedient and manipulable you are. He’s demanding and cruel, doing everything possible to isolate you from the world and make sure that you have eyes only for him. He can’t possibly let someone as wonderful as you get away.
Laito:
-He has a bit of preference for people that are fun to corrupt, and if you’re too obedient and willing, he’ll get bored. He likes breaking people and finding unique things when he gets inside their heads, and you’ll have to give him some kind of challenge, or risk losing his interest altogether.
Subaru:
–You’re too good for him. Your perfect behavior, if anything, intimidates him a little, leaving him feeling like you’re something pure that he’s just going to corrupt. He has a long mental battle deciding if he can live with himself for putting you in the danger of just being near him.
Ruki:
-You’re basically the ideal partner for him, with little need to be trained or forced to obey. Livestock should always know their place as you do, and he’s very pleased with how obedient and easy to mold you are. Perhaps he won’t actually need to punish you too often, since you try so hard.
Kou:
-He gets a bit bored of how you do whatever he says, but since you’re willing to accept every pattern he depends on to make the world make sense, he decides that you’re not so bad. It’s still fun to mess with someone as sweet and you, and you’re not a bad partner to be seen in public with at all.
Yuuma:
-He gets used to you being such a doormat pretty quickly, even if it does irritate him a bit that you always do exactly what he says. He’ll complain a little that you’re too easy to push around, but is actually pretty okay with having someone he can completely control and do as he pleases with.
Azusa:
-As long as you’re willing to hurt him, the two of you will get along fabulously. He’ll come to see you as the sweetest person on the planet, and become nearly as devoted to you as you are to him. He’s still pushy, yes, but he’d do almost anything you say in return for how kind you are to him.
Carla:
-He’s visibly happy about having a partner who knows how to obey, and treats you much better than he would someone who resists. He’s still cold and cruel, but definitely shows some mercy to someone who he has no reason to need to punish, especially since you have done nothing but be good.
Shin:
-He definitely makes fun of how soft you are, and uses your obedience to get away with doing horrible things to you. When you continue to love him just as much he starts to get confused, and eventually mellows out a bit thanks to the attention of someone who will always praise him for how he is.
Admin Mawile: (。・∀・)ノ Ooooh, yes! I love platonic relationship stuff with the boys! While the concept of “friend” may be a little hard to figure out for most of them, I can definitely make some headcanons for if it happened!
Shuu:
-Even when seeing you as a friend, he doesn’t do a whole lot. The idea of letting someone close is still very, very hard for him, and he’s much more likely to keep you at a distance. However, when he’s a in a good mood, he’ll be okay with hanging out with you in silence. You have to let him sleep.
Reiji:
-”Friend” to him is more like “unwilling assistant”, and you’ll find yourself stuck helping him with his work more often than not. Even though you’re not a partner, he holds you to high standards, and probably falls into the same kind of manipulative behaviors he would with a partner.
Ayato:
-You will be roped into every bit of mischief he gets up to, whether you like it or not. He sees you as his personal sidekick, and drags you into every ill-advised plan he has. You’ll probably get into as much trouble as he does, and wind up playing mother half as often as you actually manage to be a friend.
Kanato:
-His definition of a friend is closer to a personal servant and sweets maker. You’ll spend a ridiculous amount of time cooking for him, and even more humoring the whims of him and Teddy. He’s entirely selfish, and insists that the two of you do whatever he wants to at all times.
Laito:
-It’s very, very hard for him to make a distinction between a friend and someone he can make advances on, and you’ll probably receive nearly as much lewd behavior as a partner. Outside of that, he’s surprisingly fun to be around, and does a fairly good job of actually treating you like a friend.
Subaru:
-He’s honestly sort of horrible at social interaction, and between yelling at you and breaking things constantly, he even thinks he’s terrible at it. A lot of your time together consists of you coaxing him out of his coffin after his latest episode, and reassuring him that you still want to be around him.
Ruki:
-He’s a picky, strict friend who tries to dictate your behavior most of the time. He’s clearly not used to having anyone who’s really a friend, and you’ll have to put up with a lot of being ordered around to stay friends with him. He’s always helpful, though, and can be surprisingly considerate.
Kou:
-If you don’t get mistaken for his partner by his fans, you’ll be lucky. He’s not a bad friend, though, once you get used to his permanent system of give and take, and as long as you understand how he expects things to go and cooperate, you’ll be able to have a fairly decent friendship with him.
Yuuma:
-Even though there’s no reason why you should have to help, you wind up helping out in his garden way more often than you’d really want. Other than the forced labor, he’s a pretty okay friend, and actually knows how to keep a person as a friend… unlike most of the others.
Azusa:
-He’s still going to insist that you hurt him. It’s really the only way he understand affection from anyone but his family. Even as just a friend, he winds up horribly dependent on you, every bit as clingy and pushy as he would be with a partner. Get used to having a brand new shadow.
Carla:
-Surprisingly, he’s a pretty good friend. He mellows out quite a bit once he trusts you, and while he’s still stern and unapproachable, since you’re not a partner, he doesn’t have the same strain of making a proper partner to continue his race. He’s not exactly nice, but can be at least decent to you.
Shin:
-He’s a totally selfish and demanding friend who really doesn’t know how to not treat people like his personal servants. You’ll get dragged into all kinds of trouble if you hang out with him, and will be subjected to all kinds of mocking and teasing from him. He’s really kind of a terrible friend.
-Subaru is probably the most willing to murder for his freedom. He’s already used to being corrupted, and killing the monster holding them hostage would just be one more thing against him. A part of him wants to be useful and protect his brothers, and he’s probably the best suited to do the deed.
-Shuu has more of a feeling that even that wouldn’t let them escape. There has to be more than just the one vampire, and killing this one would just get them in a world of trouble with whoever the vampire is connected to. Not only that, it’s highly unlikely their father would let them just get away.
-Reiji is willing to kill to escape, but like Shuu, is doubtful that it would do them any good. He’s secretly more afraid of trying to fight back than he lets on, too used to being obedient to change so suddenly, but his desperate position pushes him into the kind of mental corner that could end in violence.
-Ruki is also hesitant to try to escape. He’s well aware that their father wants them there, and doing something as extreme as killing their captor might get them in much more trouble than they are even now. He wants to leave this place more than anything, but isn’t sure that it’s possible for them.
-Carla would do anything to return to his former position, and would definitely kill off the vampire if he thought it would give him a chance at getting away. However, he’s well aware that you are not the end of your species, and is smart enough to know that killing you would get them all in more trouble.
-Laito is mostly of the opinion that playing nice is the way to stay safe. There’s no way you’re ever going to let them go, and even if they could kill you, it likely wouldn’t be the end. He’ll turn down the idea in favor of trying to get on your good side in the hopes that you’ll be nicer to someone dear to you.
-The final outcome is that they don’t use the knife. Most of them are well aware that escape is a mere dream, and aren’t willing to risk getting all of them in trouble over a plan that’s mere hope to begin with. Not only would it be nearly impossible to actually kill you, none of them want to find out what would happen if the rest of your species (or the people who sent them there in the first place) found out that they’d killed their host. They hide the knife somewhere in case they truly need it, but know better than to think of actually trying to escape your clutches.
-He’d had a feeling that a situation as wonderful as being with you couldn’t last, and it doesn’t exactly surprise him that his father would demand his return just when he was starting to hope. He has little to live for now that he knows how good it is to be with someone who cares, and his mood plumits horribly.
Reiji:
-He doesn’t understand why a back up son would have to return in the first place, but that doesn’t stop him from being obedient. He has no choice but to follow his father’s whims, whether he likes it or not. He should have expected something like this instead of trusting that he’d be with you forever.
Ayato:
-As much as he had a feeling a life as happy as one with you couldn’t last, he throws an absolute fit when he’s forced to return, praying that he’ll be annoying enough to get sent away again. He’d sooner be dead than back with his birth family, especially after tasting what being loved is really like.
Kanato:
-He cries for literal weeks, inconsolable by anyone and anything. He’s come to depend on your attention too deeply to ever be torn away, and he’ll make himself sick from crying so long and hard in the desperate hope that someone will give in. Not even punishment can stop the kind of fit he’s having.
Laito:
-He can’t think of any reason why he’d have to go back other than his mother wanting him, and that alone is enough to make him wish he was dead. He’d prefer anything to having to go back to her, and practically shuts down as soon as it hits him that his happy time with you is really doomed to be over.
Subaru:
-He hardly knows how to take being ripped away from you so suddenly, and spends a while thinking that it was you who sent him away because he did something wrong. Even once he understands the situation, he’s depressed and withdrawn, unwilling to trust anyone now that he’s known you.
Shuu: He doesn’t care one bit what you do as long as it doesn’t interfere with his sleep. You can do whatever you feel like; it’s not his problem.
Reiji: He will not tolerate any kind of improper behavior, and will punish you strictly for acting out when you thought he wouldn’t notice.
Ayato: He does not take the situation well, despite doing much the same things to you, and has a small fit over the kind of behavior you’ve been hiding.
Kanato: He screams and cries and accuses you of hating him, furious that you’d even think of doing something against his will.
Laito: He finds it rather cute that you think you can get away with these things, and does something downright cruel to you in return.
Subaru: He loses his temper very quickly and most likely makes a new hole in the wall. You won’t be getting away without some kind of retribution.
Ruki: He will not allow that kind of behavior from livestock, and makes sure that you’re severely punished for thinking you can do as you please.
Kou: He finds it sort of funny at first that you’re being so mischievous, but he quickly gets sick of you acting you. Be careful of how angry he’ll get.
Yuuma: He doesn’t like it at all that you’re messing with him, and finds a very good way to punish you for thinking you can do whatever you want.
Azusa: He doesn’t quite understand why you’re treating him like that, but is mostly okay with it. Whatever you want is fine by him.
Carla: He’s extremely displeased that you think you can get away with such behavior, and you’ll have to deal with a very unhappy Carla
Shin: He’s not happy at all that you think you can get away with messing with him, and makes sure you suffer for thinking you can act out.
Admin Mawile: (●´∀`)ノ~ Finally, after being sick with the flu for close to a week, I got these done! Since I typed up information about the characters too, this is going to be a massive post. It started out as just art of alternate designs, but turned into more of an information post…
And it’s broken into two parts. Sakamaki boys here, Mukami and Tsukinami in Part 2! Hope everyone enjoys~!
-Extremely lazy, mostly due to being so depressed he can’t find the energy to move. Pretty much like canon personality wise, if a bit less dark.
-He’s still been forced to study much more than is healthy, but he wasn’t anywhere near as abused. His depression is due to feeling worthless unless he’s hard at work, but having too much pressure heaped on him to function properly.
-Unlike canon, Edgar moved away instead of dying, but the trauma of losing his only friend still affected Shuu massively.
-His relationship with Reiji is still tense, but fortunately not murderous. Reiji is still highly jealous of the attention he receives from their mother, but the tension is eased quite a bit.
-Longer hair than canon, mostly due to being too lazy to get it cut. Reiji hates the style, but there’s nothing he can do to change it. It grows out until it’s long enough to get in his way, then gets chopped off almost completely short.
-His fashion is as simple as it gets. He wears loose, comfortable clothes that are easy to sleep in, and that’s about it.
Sakamaki Reiji:
-He’s every bit as neurotic, perfectionistic, and picky as he is in canon, but lacks all of the sadism and cruelty.
-Honestly, he’s kind of a nervous wreck. He’s busy all the time, has way too much responsibility on him, and basically works himself ragged trying to take care of a family with no present parents.
-He basically exists on extra caffeinated tea and willpower.
-Like in canon, he was pretty much ignored as kid, but instead of making him prickly and weird (well, I mean he still is those things but), it made him starved for attention. He’s absolutely fueled by praise.
-His hair is about the same length as canon, but styled differently. And he very much needs the glasses.
-Fashion wise, he’s about the same as canon. All overly proper and formal, almost to the point of making him look like a butler. Wears a lot of sweater vests, especially when it’s cold out, and is almost never seen without a tie.
Sakamaki Ayato:
-Has the same “I’m the best” attitude as canon, but with even less to back it up. Basically a big wimp underneath the ego he puts on.
-Had similar expectations put on him as canon, but to a much lesser extent. He wasn’t abused anywhere near as badly, and Cordelia’s motives were much more petty and small term, even if they hurt him just as much.
-He’s very proud of being a good big brother to Kanato and Laito, and does his absolute best to keep their attention and respect.
-Basically a huge dork who thrives on attention and praise. If you tell him he’s good, he’ll do anything you say. He’s silly and mischievous to an extent, but is deathly afraid of getting in trouble with his mother.
-His hair is shorter than canon, and he probably cut it that way so it would be out of his way during basketball.
-As far as fashion goes, he’s very casual and simple, and wears things that are comfortable and at least sort of in style. He’s got a huge ego and likes to look good, and can be kind of picky about what he wears.
Sakamaki Kanato:
-He’s a bratty, needy, attention seeking little leech who latches onto anyone who’s the slightest bit nice to him
-Like in canon, Cordelia horribly neglected him throughout his childhood. It wasn’t quite as bad, but ended in a child every bit as regressed and needy as he is in canon.
-He still has Teddy, and still adores the bear beyond belief. He’s also still a crier, and throws the same fits when he doesn’t get his way.
-Instead of being sadistic and violent, though, he’s like a lonely little kid who’s starved for attention. He’ll do almost anything to get people to be nice to him, and can barely take proper affection from being so unused to it.
-His hair is mostly like it is in canon, just cut a little bit shorter.
-He’s very picky about his fashion, and likes to wear nice things. He prefers cute, fashionable clothes, and likes things that look almost historical, like a little Victorian lord. He especially tries to look cute.
Sakamaki Laito:
-He’s still a happy-go-lucky pervert like in canon, but lacks a lot of the darkness that his canon self hides underneath the facade.
-Intelligent and highly manipulative, he’s smarter than most people give him credit for, and nowhere near as cutesy as he first seems.
-Cordelia still sexually abused him in his childhood, but nowhere near to the graphic extent of canon. He was mostly left alone and ignored, as Cordelia didn’t really have much use for him.
-Like in canon, he’s a horrible pervert, but is entirely on the masochistic side. He likes being pushed around and used, and is very, very open and lewd when it comes to what he wants.
-He has longer hair than canon, and thinks it makes him look handsome. He’s very picky about his looks, and takes good care of his appearance.
-Fashion wise, he likes flashy, high quality clothes and fancy things. He wears a lot of black, red, and fur, and actively tries to show off his slim figure. He’s very proud of how he looks.
Sakamaki Subaru:
-He’s just as angry and violent as he is in canon, but can do much less damage. As a human, the worst he can do is dent a wall, not crush it.
-Underneath the rage, he’s a soft little sweetheart with a rather sensitive nature. He still hates himself and sees himself as dirty and bad, but is quite a bit softer than he is in canon.
-His mother still flips between hating and loving him, and the resulting instability crushed his self esteem. He’s not a child of rape in this Au, but was still rather unwanted, and sees himself as a burden to his family.
-Like in canon, he’s a loner, but is much more open to affection than his canon self. He’s painfully shy and flusters easily.
-He has longer hair than in canon, and doesn’t do a whole lot to take care of it. He can’t be bothered with getting it cut, so it mostly just grows wild.
-His fashion has very little care put into it. He likes black and neutral tones, but doesn’t care about much else (except a slight preference for ripped, “tough” looking clothes), and does very little to take care of what he has.
