Ruki:
-Ruki’s birthday was, to him, a remnant of a time he was better off forgetting about. No one had bothered to celebrate it in years.
“Happy birthday, Ruki!”
However, you were determined to do something nice for him. Even a small party, just the two of you, would be better than forgetting his birthday entirely, and you just couldn’t help but do something.
It didn’t look like he was complaining, though, if the happily shocked look on his face and huge smile were anything to go by.
Kou:
-The closest thing Kou had to a birthday was one he made up, but that wasn’t going to stop either of you from celebrating.
“Happy birthday, Kou!”
You’d put together the best little party you could, done everything you could think of that would make a child feel wanted and happy, and it looked like it had worked. Kou had been smiling non-stop since you’d led him into the room.
This was the first time anyone had been able to put together a real birthday celebration for him, after all.
Yuuma:
-Yuuma didn’t exactly remember when his birthday was. He had a guess, though, and that was close enough for you.
“Happy birthday, Yuuma!”
He’d insisted that the only thing he wanted to do for his special day was spend the whole day with his family, that a big party would be a waste on him, and the happiest he could be was being with the people who loved him.
However, that was not going to stop you from showering him in presents and attention all day.
Azusa:
-What could you possibly do to celebrate the birthday of someone who didn’t so much as remember the real date?
“Happy birthday, Azusa!”
Everything you could, that’s what. Even if the exact day was made up, Azusa deserved every bit of celebration you could give him, and you were determined to make sure he had a fun and happy day.
The best thing you could think to do for him was spend the day with him; give him all the attention he always seemed to need from you.
