Xeno Laito headcannons pleasešŸ’•šŸ’•šŸ’•

Admin Mawile:Ā (惎*ć‚œā–½ć‚œ*)

-After Cordelia, he despises the idea of becoming attached to anyone. He sees the connection as nothing more than a way to hurt and control, and is secretly terrified of being that tied to anyone ever again. He actively resists bonding with any of his lovers, preferring to keep as much emotional distance as he can.Ā

-If he did become attached to someone, he would do everything possible to never show it, from ignoring them altogether to seeking out other partners in a useless attempt to dull the feeling. He can’t stand having real feelings for someone anymore, and would do almost anything to get rid of them.Ā

-His wings are extremely sensitive, and he avoids letting anyone, even the most favored partner, touch them. There are far too many memories of torture and pain attached to that feeling, and without immense trust, it’s nothing short of terrifying to imagine letting someone that close.Ā

Are pet au vampires forced to be awake during the day?

Admin Mawile:ļ¼ˆļæ£ļ½žļæ£;)

-Yes, but by now, vampires have been bred to be much less nocturnal. Generations of forcing them to adhere to human schedules have all but erased the need to sleep during the day, and it’s only vaguely uncomfortable to push aside instinct and sleep when they’re told. The worst part is how bright sunlight is on sensitive eyes, and the unconscious desire to gravitate to dark places.Ā

Random Xeno Ayato headcannons? One being about cuddling please c:

Admin Mawile:Ā ā””(ļ¾Ÿāˆ€ļ¾Ÿā””))

-Cordelia used to torment him by getting him entirely immersed in the blissed out, needy, bonding part of vampire instincts, and then dropping him to suffer. Without someone to hold onto, it was a hard crash back to reality, filled with a cold, panicked sense of being abandoned by someone that his mind was insisting needed to stay. Thanks to that experience, Ayato is extremely paranoid of letting those vulnerable parts show, even around someone he otherwise trusts.Ā

-He gets needy and clingy when he’s truly relaxed, only happy once he’s cuddled up in your lap to get all the affection you’ll give. If his wings are out, he’ll practically force you to pet them, crooning and pressing his face into your stomach until you pay them the proper attention. He gets very deep into the attached, needy parts of the bonding instincts, and once he knows that you won’t push him away for it, he soaks up all the attention no one else has given.Ā

Can you do a story of subaru? But him being gentle, i know in the game he is quite viloent sometimes but people are contently writing about him and they always make him very forceful at times. I would appreciate it so much if you have the time! :]

Admin Mawile:Ā (*ļ¼¾vļ¼¾*) It’s xeno themed, just because I thought that would be cute!!Ā

-Compared to Subaru’s usual violent, angry behavior, this was a true contrast.Ā

All it took was stroking his wings, running your fingers over the soft, thin fur, and he all but melted underneath you. It seemed to sap all the rage out of him, leaving nothing but softness behind.Ā

One powerful hand, strong enough to shatter walls, grasped lightly at your shirt, fingers curling gently, shakily in the fabric.Ā

You brushed over one fragile bone in the little wing, and he shuddered, quiet, crooning noises slipping out in the gap of his self control.Ā

He’d never let this slip without instinct shutting down those mental barriers, too used to playing tough and shielding himself from misery. You probably had little understanding of the magnitude of this trust.Ā

As taut, shivering muscles shifted below the little wings, you couldn’t help but want him to stay like this for a while longer.Ā

How do you think the blood drinking works? Is it more of a pierce the skin with the teeth and suck the blood with the mouth or do yuo think the teeth act as straws?

(ā˜†ā–½ā˜†) I actually have thought about that a lot.Ā

-When not in use, the fangs are actually slightly retracted. Similar to a snake’s they extend when the vampire is about to bite. There’s muscle tissue and/or tendons that control this process, and it’s one of the reasons why fangs are very sensitive.Ā

The fangs themselves are mostly hollow, with a small hole at the tip, a slightly larger one toward the very back of the fang, and spiraling ridges along the inside. When the vampire bites, the hole at the tip functions similarly to a needle, and blood runs up though it. The spiral ridges create pressure (which is intensified by sucking) that draws the blood out of the veins and up into the mouth. The hole at the base of the fang is where it exits, and that hole is covered by tissue when the fang is retracted, only opening up when the vampires bites and the fang extends.Ā

Fangs are extremely sensitive, partially because of how thin and delicate they are, and partially because there is tissue and muscle directly connected to them. Any damage to fangs, even a small bump at the wrong angle hurts, and actually having them removed (like in Pet Au) would be absolutely excruciating.Ā

Ok, may I ask a question? Like you said that in the pet au, the boys are a great deal more animalistic than their canon counterparts, right? So, does that mean that they would get jealous if their owner had another pet? Doesn’t matter whether it’s another vampire or like dogs and cats, but how would the vampires react? (Ps: if I’m violating any of the terms, no need to answer.)

Admin Mawile:Ā (Ā“āˆ‡ļ½€)Ā

-Yes, they are much more animalistic. And yes, they can get jealous of other pets.Ā ā€œNormalā€ animals like cats or dogs aren’t so bad, but another exotic pet like themselves can be a big problem. Unless that particular owner normally takes multiple pets, a sudden addition could very well mean that they’re being replaced, thrown away in exchange for something that their owner likes more. And in a home where the pets are treated extremely well, seeing another seemingly getting attention that takes away from their own would be infuriating.Ā

How would the Xeno!diaboys react to forming an attachment to someone? Your blog is so cool! :D

Admin Skitty: I apologize for my absence everyone, there are pressing personal issues that require a lot of my attention so it has been truly difficult to find time to write. Please be patient with me as I continue to deal with my struggles, thank you!

Shu:

-While he may appear to look indifferent with this sudden change in events, internally Shu is rather fearful of this unexpected connection. The insistent need to please and be within the vicinity of that someone conflicts with his mentality that humans he becomes close to are in immediate danger, and that they’ll eventually face the same fate as him; leaving him alone…again.

Reiji:

-Pure shock is the foremost emotion that springs up from this revelation. That someone, of all people probable, they, are the one he’s formed this connection with? Though his appearance is well presented and he does well maintaining a calm composure, the person he’s most shocked with is himself. After all, how could someone such as him slip into his instincts so casually, when he has put so much effort into avoiding this ā€˜weakness’?

Laito:

– Outwardly one may believe that nothing has changed, his jokes, his overly carnal presentation, and his sexual advantages haven’t ceased. Yet, if one would look closer, his hesitance, and unease that rises within his movements around the one he’s formed an attachment to, are a dead giveaway that this affects him just as much as it would any other. The abuse of attachments he’s suffered in his youth wouldn’t simply disappear, after all.

Kanato:

-Livid? Infuriated? Threatened? All would be appropriate words to describe the burning intensity within Kanato. This wasn’t something he wanted most likely, their instincts go against their wishes all the time…but them? The fits of emotion that explode within him are frustrating and no amount of tears can quiet the ache of this strong pull, he feels trapped. Truly a bat stuck in the birdcage of your bonds.

Ayato:

-The possessive qualities of Ayato begin to make lasting appearances as he becomes absorbed with this attachment, but if one were to take notice it is very apparent that he’s become more tense when it comes to his casual cruel jests. Nervousness creeps in the air near the one he has an attachment to and his presence becomes more pushy. The irrational thoughts that someone may take you or that he may be displeasing some way make his actions erratic and his desire to be near them insatiable.

Subaru:

-It’s going to tear him apart. Incredible, truly it is, that he was even able to allow himself to come so close to someone as to actually form a bond. His self-deprecation won’t end, even now more-so that he’s formed this attachment. It’s stupid of him, he’s seen what happens, he knows it, but in the end he can’t fight it. The constant thoughts of that person abusing this relationship like his father did to his poor mother make him prone to panic in this realization. He’s terrified, but what can he do when there is no escape?

Ruki:

– Being able to contain his composure even in the worst cases is a helpful asset for Ruki in this situation. He’s uncomfortable with this arrangement no doubt, as something like this is not something one of their kind can really be prepared for, but he attempts to address the situation to the best of his ability. He is likely to brush off the person his attachment has bonded to, irregardless of how it may hurt him and does his best to maintain the relationship they likely had before. Losing control is not an option and he will resist his instincts with pure will power, but inevitably he will be forced to give in.

Kou:

-Out of everyone Kou is likely to be the one who has the most violent reaction to such a connection. It’s to be expected considering his past and the abuse his attachments have suffered through his mistreatment. He’s constantly on edge and feels like he’s being choked with nagging thoughts of their eventual betrayal, all humans are the same to him. It’s sickening for him at first, the forced connection he’s not prepared for throws his whole life off balance and the idol has trouble coming to terms being vulnerable to that person.

Yuma:

– The big guy is not really good at handling his instincts, he’s prone to giving into them easily and will follow the same course with his attachment. It confuses him greatly as he’s not sure what to do to ease these feelings, but he knows being near them helps. His frustration with how to deal with these emotions will be taken out on that attachĆ© and it can be expected that he may even come to suffocate them with his presence.

Azusa:

-If one thought Azusa to be clingy, they had no clue of the extent of this ability. Azusa is not one who will so easily ignore his instincts unless they prove to be a true issue, and this stands true here as well. He doesn’t find there to be an issue surrounding himself with the person he finds comfort in, and doesn’t find it to be troublesome to completely overwhelm them with his presence; even though there is this compelling feeling of worry that they may not like him. There is an instinctual joy he feels being near that person, but at the same time a somber sadness at the thought of them pushing him away.

I saw in one of your previous posts that in the Xeno AU you mentioned that handling a vampire’s wings in different places could bring about different responses and I was wondering if you could go into more detail on this, like the different responses and how to evoke each of them. Awesome blog btw

Admin Mawile:Ā (惎*ć‚œā–½ć‚œ*) I think it may have been Skitty who did that explanation?? Idk, I’m giving some more background on the wings anyway!

-So, the wings come out of the vampire’s back, from the same area as the shoulder blade. Like vampires themselves, they don’t quite follow human laws of physics, and can materialize and materialize at will (although it sometimes happens unconsciously), even through clothes. They’re very, very delicate, with slender, fragile bones, thin skin, and amazingly soft fur the same color as the vampire’s hair. The wings are a vestigial feature, left over from when vampires were a lot less human, and they may or may not have something to do with vampire’s magic, as well. They’reĀ extremely sensitive, especially to touch and pain; light yanking or pinching can hurt more than being punched.Ā

Vampire society demonizes any kind of weakness, and most of them would rather just forget that anything so fragile is even a part of them. The wings are hardly ever brought up, and really only used as a creative way of causing pain. There’s a small area under the wing arm, close to the base where it merges back into skin that’s even more sensitive then the rest of the wing, most likely because unless the wing is spread open, it’s completely protected by the folds of the wing. On vampires that have had more social, non-neglectful childhoods, that spot is drastically more sensitive than the rest of the wing. This is supposedly the norm, what’s meant to happen. On the ones that have been mostly isolated or neglected, the overall sensitivity is greater, with less of a contrast between the majority of the wing and that spot. This is said to be the result of a certain kind of severe mistreatment, more of a forced adaption than anything that occurs normally.Ā

The wings are also integral in the functioning of certain instincts, like the much hated attachment instinct. Like the wings themselves, the reflexes that they cause are hated by vampire society, and ignored entirely save for by those particularly cruel vampires who use them to torture their own kind. Unfortunately, this has really only made their idea of the problem worse. Most wings are now extra sensitive from disuse, slowly evolving into even greater weaknesses thanks to being deprived of any change to adapt to pain or contact. Through the generations, wings are getting even more fragile, even weaker, even more meant for only the very instincts they’ve been trying to forget about.Ā

How would the Xeno vampire boys react to an s/o who was fascinated with their wings, fangs, etc?

Admin Mawile:ļ¼ˆć€‚ļ¼žĻ‰ļ¼œļ¼‰ć€‚

Shuu:

-For some of it, he just won’t stop you. If you’re that interested in his fangs, and you can look without waking him up, he doesn’t really care. But a vampire’s wings are beyond delicate, and even asking to see them is a quick way to get even his lazy self on the defensive.Ā

Reiji:

-He can’t stand being poked at. You treating him like some kind ofĀ exhibit does not sit well, and any kind of attempts to get near his supernatural features will be quickly shot down. He’s not something to be fascinated with, and you’ll learn the hard was what making him feel vulnerable and pinned ends in.Ā

Ayato:

-Your fascination is mostly amusing to him. As long as you act respectful enough, he’ll be entertained by you being so captivated with with his fangs (although he’ll also take it as you wanting to be bitten). But so much as mention his wings, and any good mood vanishes instantly.Ā

Kanato:

-If you so much as mention wanting to have a closer look at his fangs, he’ll scream. You don’t get to decide that, you can’t just say you’re going to touch him, you’re not allowed to make him do things. He hates to lose control in any way, so the wings are most definitely off limits.Ā

Laito:

-For the most part, he’ll take your fascination in stride, enjoying the attention and letting you mess around. You can’t hurt him in any way, after all. But that’s just when it comes to his fangs and other special attributes, any mention of his wings makes almost angry, all traces of humor gone.Ā

Subaru:

-Nope, nope, nope. You will not be examining his fangs like he’s some kind of bug under a magnifying glass. The closest look you get is when he’s biting you, which you’re obviously asking for if you keep talking about his fangs. You’ll get yelled at if you persist in your fascination.Ā

Ruki:

-You will not be treating him like something interesting to examine. He can’t stand you being pushy about it, asking or pressuring him in any way that isn’t clearly respectful. His wings are off limits in conversation, even, any reference to them grounds for a painful punishment.Ā

Kou:

-Yeah, it’s cute the first few times you get all excited over his fangs, but the fascination gets old quick. Seeing you so interested feels awfully, sickeningly similar to another time when he was pursued for beingĀ ā€œspecialā€, and he starts getting angry and defensive about the issue before long.Ā

Yuuma:

-He sort of gets why a human would be so fascinated, but it’s still really weird. He can sort of tolerate it at first, but the more interested you get, the more he gets sick of it. It helps if you can phrase things in a way that makes it seem like no big deal, just some silly little interest you have.Ā

Azusa:

-He loves the attention. You being interested in him, wanting to pay attention to just him, Ā getting so happy over something he can easily provide, Azusa loves it it. He’d have no problems with letting you handle his wings, either (you might pull on them), but Ruki has told him very clearly not to let anyone touch them.Ā

Carla:

-Unless you make your interest seem extremely respectful and full of awe, Carla won’t tolerate it. Endzeit has left its mark all over him, effects he’d never want you to see, and he hides his discomfort at the scrutiny with annoyance and anger, pretending like it’s just a matter of your place.Ā

Shin:

-It’s only right that you’re amazed by him, but the constant fascination gets old fast. If you can keep your interest to a low,Ā ā€œreasonableā€ level, he might indulge you just to feed his own ego, but not if you make an annoyance of yourself. His wolf form is a bit of an exception; you can’t keep him out of it.Ā

Hello~ I saw you mention a “bonding instinct” in one of your Xeno AU posts and I was wondering if I could find out more about it, like what are the other ways to trigger it, is it something that happens often among vampires and how could it be broken? Thanks :)

Admin Mawile:Ā (*ļ¾Ÿāˆ€ļ¾Ÿ*)

-Vampire society is a cruel place. Finding another who doesn’t intend to do some kind of harm is a sadly rare occasion, especially in the olden days, when vampires were likely to prey upon each other. So, in order to keep the rare person who had intentions of kindness around, an instinct developed. The bonding instinct (also known as attachment instinct) is a powerful, involuntary sense of connection and, well, attachment to a person that treats the vampire well. It’s intended to make them more appealing, someone worth staying near, so that the rare kind soul doesn’t want to leave.Ā

-The bonding instinct is a very old, very much involuntary instinct; meaning that if it’s going to kick in, the vampire doesn’t have a lot of say in it. It can be stressful to be suddenly and forcibly attached to someone, especially considering the common views ofĀ ā€œweaknessā€ being shameful and unacceptable. It’s surprisingly easily triggered, though, even more so among vampires who have experienced little kindness in their lives. All it really takes is genuine affection, the kind of care so uncommon in their world, and from the time it kicks in, it only gets stronger with every bit of positive reinforcement, every further action that proves it to be warranted.Ā

-Among vampires, it’s fairly rare. Vampires really aren’t nice to each other (the whole reason why the instinct began), and their modern society places undue importance on composure and the avoidance of perceived ā€œweaknessā€. Showing most instincts, no matter how involuntary they are, is considered shameful, something to tamp down and deny for fear of opening one up to ridicule. Breaking the attachment instinct would be a difficult and painful process, composed mostly of proving once and for all that whoever it was directed to is more of a threat than a provider. Not to mention the stress and mental pain it would cause. Bonding instincts run deep, especially the long-time ones, and breaking one would take a truly awful experience.Ā
