Reiji, meanwhile, had been glued to your side all morning, glaring daggers at Shuu and acting like he expected to be ignored.
“You have presents too, you know.”
The shocked look Reiji gave you made you think horrible things about the boys’ mother. He looked like he honestly was expecting nothing, and like he couldn’t believe you were going to include him.
“Go ahead. They’re really for you.” You smiled, trying not to look angry.
Shuu still seemed completely unaware of his brother’s troubles, and as Reiji hesitantly lifted the first gift meant for him, you tried not to think about it all for too long.
There were things about these boys’ past that you didn’t want to know.
